What Students Say

Likes

Campus life. It is the best. Gives you maximum freedom
Food. It has manu hood cafeterias and nice restaurants nearby
Teachers. The teachers are really helpful and approachable

Dislikes

Labs. Labs can be way better. It doesn’t provide much software systems
Syllabus. This is not about college but the sullabus has to be revised
Classrooms I personally think the classrooms can be made near and tidy

Course Curriculum Overview

It is actually good. You vet to experience a lot in this civil engineering. There are many programme outcomes listed. You will eventually achieve everything in the mean time you complete the course. And in this century engineering has got much scope and relevance

Placement Experience

We have placements here in cet. But now a days trends the packages are quite low. Anyways we get into some sorta comapnies atleast for our experience Many gi for higher studies after btech. CET will give you a brand name

Fees and Financial Aid

For every sem and year the fee varies. Usually you will have to pay a for semester registration and then for the exams. Compared to other colleges the fee is less. It is about 10000 for enrolling and same for ither sems enrollment

Campus Life

You have the best college life ever in CET. You have everything you aspire here. If you are culturally good too you can ace here. We have dance clubs music everything culturally and also all the technical clubs too are notch too good

Hostel Facilities

I did not get college hostel since my income was high. But i got into a ph. Here the rentis soo high. But it. Has much facilities compared to other private hostels near by. Food is nice we have refrigerator kitchen with cylinder utensils

Hostel Fee: INR 150000 per year

Admission

So after your 12th grade from any boards you have to apply for KEAM. There you have to score a good rank to get into best colleges usually under 4000 to het into CET, but it varies with the departments. For example to get CS Branch you will have to score under 400 for general category. There are many reservations please check for those in the website. KEAM is comparitively simpler in the entrance point of view. I got to know about KEAM from my teachers since its very popular in KERALA

Placement Experience:

we are eligible for placement from the 7th sem. Many famous and small compines vist our college. Infosys, WIPRO, TCS vist our college. But the big companies take only few student. Highest package was 1,00,000. And the average package is around 4,00,000. Almost all students gets placed from the campus .

My Experience at NIT Calicut

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rate the EEE course curriculum around 8-8.5 /10 in terms of relevance.The curriculum provides strong fundamentals in core electrical engineering subjects and prepares students well for core jobs and higher studies.The course curriculum was revised in 2023, and our batch is the 1st batch under the new curriculum. however, there are still limited coding ,AI and data science subjects in EEE ,which could be improved. Exams are conducted times per semester and are generally moderately difficult.

Is engineering here worth it?

Students are eligible from 7th semester to sit for interviews. The pod.ai app helps us in making the resume and calculating a cgpa to appear for the intwrviews. The pod.ai registration fees is 500?. Companies such as nissan,infosys,commandtech,bimlabs,gulfasia etc has visited . And the highest package was 11 LPA and lowest was 3 LPA

Life at CET

This college is the best government college in Kerala. It has been consistently first in KIRF ranking. It has very cheap fees. The campus is very beautiful and spacious (about 200 acres). My best choice of colleges very IITs and NITs like most people. I couldn't crack JEE. I only applied to this college because I had very high ranking in KEAM exam and was confident of acceptance. KEAM exam is a lot easier to crack than JEE. It has basic higher secondary school syllabus. To get my course you would have to be around 700th rank. To get other courses in my college you can have rank as low as 20k....Read More
