Course Curriculum Overview

Am interested to get a admission in IT fields...I am truly interested to join in computer science engineering... unfortunately I didn't get that with my keam rank.so i decided to go for electronics and communication... because through this course we can go for it field jobs so that I take..!

After the 7th semester more placements are come to the college...most students in 4th year get high placements.. because of their calibration and determination..... Compared to other government colleges our college offers less package..

Fees and Financial Aid

Fee structure in keam:-9500/year But in my cases college fees+exam fees in a year =20000/year needed. Some students with higher marks and reservations we get scholarships like egrantz,etc etc..... Campus employment also done in our campus. Most of the students in electronics and communication& computer science engineering get higher placements in our campus.

Campus Life

The annual and technical fest are held in our colleges are so nice. The organisation committee was so good. They made the celebrations so nice Sports and extracurricular activities are highly offered here. Somany clubs are held here such as nss,gbot,ieee etc. Gbot club especially gives so much knowledge about the robotics.

Hostel Facilities

Am a rented accomodated student In my view college hostel is the better choice. Because my hostel is too long from my college. The food they provide is so bad. Some special foods are good..but othertimes it makes us so weird feel.. My hostel rent is 4500..and it is too expensive compared to the college hostel fee

Eligibility criteria:-we should pass kerala entrance exam to get this admission Application form is access through online Reservations are also accepted here...some categories in caste get the good course in good campuses.

Placement Experience:

we are eligible for placement from the 7th sem. Many famous and small compines vist our college. Infosys, WIPRO, TCS vist our college. But the big companies take only few student. Highest package was 1,00,000. And the average package is around 4,00,000. Almost all students gets placed from the campus .

My Experience at NIT Calicut

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rate the EEE course curriculum around 8-8.5 /10 in terms of relevance.The curriculum provides strong fundamentals in core electrical engineering subjects and prepares students well for core jobs and higher studies.The course curriculum was revised in 2023, and our batch is the 1st batch under the new curriculum. however, there are still limited coding ,AI and data science subjects in EEE ,which could be improved. Exams are conducted times per semester and are generally moderately difficult.

Is engineering here worth it?
