Course Curriculum Overview
Curriculum is prepared by the Kerala University of Health sciences.It is competency based medical education.1st year has anatomy, physiology and biochemistry.2nd year has microbiology, pharmacology and pathology.3 Rd year has community medicine and forensic science.4 th year has OBG, pediatrics, general medicine, surgery,ophthal etc.
Fees and Financial Aid
Fee structure is very affordable.About 25000 is tution fee for each year. Hostel fee is around 600 rupees.There are lot of books for studying.They incur a huge amount.Various scholarships are available.Campus placements are not applicable in MBBS
Campus Life
Clubs are functional in the campus.We have various sports training.There are various fests in the campus.Gym is also functional.Class rooms are air conditioned and smartboard equipped.Library is also very good for studying.
Hostel Facilities
Hostel is not so good.It is very old and leaking at rainy season.4 or 5 people are accommodated in one room.Mess food is not good.It is 140 per day.Vehicles can be parked in front of the hostel.It is in mudiyoorkara
Admission
Admission is based on neet examination which can be attended after 12th science stream.The exam is of 720 marks which comprises of physics, chemistry, botany and zoology of 11 th and 12 th classes.Then we have to apply for KEAM which is essential for availing state quota admission in Kerala.A separate rank list is prepared from neet rank list as keam list.Then counselling takes place and we get admission.
