Course Curriculum Overview
My love for physics and Electromagnetism influenced me to take an Electrical Engineering course. It's a prestigious university and its course curriculum is also of that level. This curriculum includes Theory classes along with Laboratory sessions that prepare us to be ready for real-world applications. The course curriculum was available to all students beforehand to know everything that what he/she will study in his/her next 4 years. I think the course curriculum is great however the teaching methods that can be improved by the use of new technologies. The exams were very frequent, In a semester we have to give 2 quizzes and a midsem and an endsem for all 5 subjects each and this all in just 4 months but this is a speciality of an engineer that to manage his time in such a hectic schedule also. The difficulty level of the exam is also high enough that one can't get good marks until he knows the concepts clearly.
Internships Opportunities
Like Placements, all tech giants like Google,Microsoft , Amazon, Flipkart, Atlassian etc. visit campus for internship opportunities Monthly Stipend Range for internships are : Rs 15,000 - 2,00,000. Comapnies offer various roles like software engineering, consulting ,trading, analyst, graduate trainee, etc.

From the 7th semester onwards students are eligible for campus placements. All tech giant companies like Google, Microsoft, Oracle, Deshaw, Sprinkler, and Atlassian visits our campus. Fees and Financial Aid
Tuition fee for a semester is around 1 lakh and total fees go around 1lakh 30 thousand including mess and hostel fees. The college provides a lot of scholarship opportunities to students, for students below 1 lakh family annual income their tuition fees will be 100% refunded,similarly for students with a family income less than 5 lakhs 66% refunded. besides this there are more scholarships based on merit cum means too and some are alumni funded too. You will be funded fully for your project in your proposal got accepted along with stipends.
Campus Life
Our campus is lively with various events throughout the year. We have our annual cultural fest called Srijan Technical fest called Concetto, Geo-mining fest called Khanan, Sports fest Parakram, and Alumni get-together fest called Basant. The Srijan and Basant happen in February, Khanan in November Concetto in October, and Parakram in March. Being Asia's second biggest Library it is stocked with plenty of books journals, and Newspapers Uniquely there is a feature of QR scanning from a phone from which you can find a book and it's location in a library. Classrooms are pretty well equipped with smartboards, LCDs, speakers, and Charging Points. Various sports and extracurricular activities happen in campus there is a coach for every sport and they train you for competitions like Parakram, Inter-IIT also some NGOs like Kartavya and FFI help poor students from nearby localities by teaching and providing them with study materials also organize blood camps for blood banks.
Admission
As this is an IIT, To get admission here Firstly You have to take the JEE mains exam. At our time there used to be 4 rounds of the JEE Mains exam and Your maximum percentile among all 4 would be considered for a cutoff It was around 90% and to be eligible for give JEE advance Exam. The JEE advance exam happened in July, and its results were also released in August. After Qualifying JEE Advanced exam too you have to go through JOSSA counselling. In JOSSA counselling you have to give your list of colleges priority wise and you will be allotted college based on your AIR. After JOSSA counseling of 6 rounds, you will be allotted a college and then you will receive an offer letter from a college. For me, at IIT Dhanbad after taking admission firstly we were introduced to college through an orientation session with our respected director. After this we were called to campus for pre-registration for our course there we had to submit our documents and verify our identity. That's it !!
