Likes

Good infrastructure and good curriculum. Very big canpus.
Many societies and clubs are there whether it is tech related or non tech related.
Good alumni network and educated faculty available.

Dislikes

The strength of number of students is very large.
There is need of renovating some buildings and reconstruction of campus.
Fees are very much. Fees should be lowered down.

Course Curriculum Overview

The aspect that influenced me to get this course was that this course has a combination of Computer Science and Business studies. In real world it will help me to excel in my future as I have got education in two different fields. Unnecessary subjects should be removed.

Internships Opportunities

I heard of many companies like Paypal, Paytm, Visa, Oyo recruit students for internship around ?30,000. Role offered by these companies was as trainee. One has to crack the interview and must have a good Resume to show.

Fees and Financial Aid

There is a 10% increase in fees every year which should be reduced to 5%. The complete course fees is around ?22,00,000 which includes tuition fee, development fee and other fee. Hostel and mess fee are taken separately.

Campus Life

The annual fest named Saturnilla is held around November end which is a very famous fest across the region. Another fest Food festival also takes place. Also different societies organize different festivals or events.

Hostel Facilities

Rooms are in best condition. All facilities are provided. Good furniture available. Menu is decided by student committee. Quality of food is also good. Hostel registration process start after admission.

Hostel Fee: INR 54000 per year

Admission

Student should have minimum 65% in boards. Two modes of admission is available. One is through board's PCM percentage and another is through JEE Mains percentile. You can find all details on thapar.edu website.

MY HONEST REVIEW ABOUT MY COLLEGE LIFE

Placement Experience:

from 6th semester students become eligible for the placements and they should not have any backolgs or reappers in the exam and they should have morethan then 5 cgpa . as i am from the 2nd yeari donot know more aboutm the placement offered made but the average packagr is 3.5 to 4 lakhs per annual and around 70 to 80 percent of students are get selected in placement . and planns after getting the degree is to do higher studies in aerospace designing in the aircrafts.

Why I chose LPU ?

Placement Experience:

Here, the placement drive starts at the beginning of the 5th semester and goes till the end of the 8th semester. Here, all MNC like Google, Microsoft, Amazon, Capgemini, and many other companies come to our campus for hiring. In the very last year 2 students got selected with a prestigeous 2.5cr & 1 cr packages.

All about my college

Placement Experience:

From 5th semester onwards students are eligible for the campus placement. Either they get internship or they get placement offers . Number of companies visited are more than 50. I will give some examples of some best companies like google , microsoft, accenture, virtusa, lenovo , Paypal, shadii. Com , JP morgan and many more other good companies visit to our college. Highest package last year was 52 lakh and the average package was 6 lakhs . More than 70 percent Student are getting placement. My plans after the degree is to get a good job in a good company

An honest Insight of my college LPU

Placement Experience:

From the 6 semester you will be eligible for the placement drive. Many companies visited LPU for recruitment and some of them are MNCs also The highest package is 1 crore from my batch and average is 7LPA. Around 90 to 95 % get placed.

Good College, Placement and Great Infrastructure and Facilities

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum should be rated on how useful and complete it is. A good one covers all important topics like Software , Networking , Automata , SQLetc. it is mix theory and practical work . For CSE studendent there are coding laguage like C++ in 3rd sem and DSA in 4th semester.

Honest is the best Policy

I was getting addmission in some other private colleges but this was near to me and had a great rew.. Its infra and hostels are really worth it. inside campus walls

i applied for lnmiit college jaipur . there i was expecting computer branch but did got electronics branch so i didnt went there.here in thapar it was based on jee mains percentile for addmission. computer branches were available till 89 percentile for punjab students and till 94 percentile for outside punjab students. so i had percentile of 95 so i easily got computer branch over here....Read More
