My opinion

In case of study purposes Silicon is good and very strict.Campus placement also occur but IT sector only.So if you want to go for any core company then don't join silicon.Students who are studious and want to go for higher studies can join silicon.Its not like other private institutes where you can bunk classes and pass exams giving money.So be prepared for that.

Well.. considering my marks there is no better college than silicon i found.With that mark i couldn't be admitted to any good government colleges and there is no better private college than silicon in odisha.Also I heard about good academic results from some students so that's why I joined silicon.

If i have to say about course curriculum.. obviously it isn't that good.But it is up to that level what you generally expect from a private engineering college.Hence it comes under BPUT it has to follow the course curriculum of BPUT.The course curriculum is okay.It depends on you that you study or not.

No, generally it doesn't provide any internships but if you are applying for any internships then the college will refer you to that company.

This is the area where many private institutes fail.In silicon for campus only you can find IT companies no core companies come here.Generally companies like Infosys, Wipro,Tech Mahindra,Capgemini,TCS come here to recruit.They give salary around 25k to 30k per month.Getting Placement in a company totally depends on you that you are that capable or not.Previous year around 60 Percent students got placed.

There is only one annual fest of three days celebrated including both cultural and technical fest in the month of March or February.They are not very big bounded with in the campus.Different events are organized in these 3 days.All the students irrespective of branch or anything can participate.

For those who will not stay in the hostel, the fee is around 1lakh 40thousand per year. This includes everything like your course fee, transportation, exam fee, etc. For hostilities, it will cost around 2lakh per year. Yes, it is, of course, expensive compared with other colleges. Also, there are expenses and fees you have to give like when you are participating in a club or you are doing extra courses.

I don't think any loan facilities available.I mean I'm not sure about that.But yes there are scholarships available like Medhabruti which you can apply for.

Campus life is good here, little bit hectic but good.Hectic for that you can't bunk classes here.College is very strict about attendance.Minimum of 75% is needed.Lots of extracurricular activities are there.You can take part in different clubs like music club, sports club, robotics club. Competitions like debate are held in the time of college fest including sports competition also.

There are 3 hostels which besides within the campus.2 boys hostels and 1 for girls.In the hostel you have to share room with other people.Basically 3 people live in room.Rooms are not that big but okay to stay.2 canteens are there in total for both boys and girls,one is veg canteen and other is non veg.Food is also okay.Not that bad to not that good.Hostel fee is 35000 excluding food.For food you have to give extra charge according to what you eat in a month. Generally it costs around 3000 per month.

Seniors are very helpful in case of anything you want to know.But make sure you make a good relationship with them.They will help you in anything including curricular and extra curricular things.

Here the exam is semester wise.Per semester you will found one main exam.Apart from that college execute two internals per semester and lab exams according to your lab classes and also You have to submit your assignments,you have to give quiz tests, surprise tests.In 4 to 5 months you have to attend all these.Yes these are a bit hectic because college is very strict in these cases.

Basically to get admission in any of the college under BPUT in Odisha, you have to attend JEE Main exam.Then according to the result you scored,you Will be notified that in which colleges you can get admission.In this way applied for some colleges and I got selected in Silicon.Then the institution gave me a date that when I can report to them and then they told me when i have to deposit the money and got my identity card.

Yes,this is the point where Silicon is better than any of the colleges in Odisha.Faculty members are way good than any private and government institutions.They are well qualified for teaching purposes but also they are very strict in case of study purposes.
