Course Curriculum Overview
I am currently studing Aerospace Engineering which comes under Mechanical branch of the engineering course. I personally camed to the university before taking admission in order to see their lab facilities and classes as well as to interact to faculty members before taking admission. I was overwhelmed with the curriculum and teaching methods of the university. One can really acheive good score only by paying attention in the classes and attending all lab classes. Our university conducts various quizes after completion of the chapter and two exams i.e. midsems and endsems.
Internships Opportunities
Our college provides internship on their own , in second and third year which is compulsory to do. This year all the aerospace engineering students have got an opportunity to get internship in Hindustan Aeronautics limited for a span of 30 days which is a big achievement.
Placement Experience
Our college promises us 100 % placement and with time its been increasing every year. As i am a mechanical engineering student core companies like JSW , Tata consultancy, whirlpool, etc comes for in campus placement. The highest package for this year was 1400000 which is a quite good start in the feild of mechanical engineering.
Fees and Financial Aid
The tuition fees of BTech courses are 175000 per semester. As i had taken admission after clearing KIITEE and i had also cleared the eligibility criteria of 75% in my board exams, i got an scholarship of 30% reduction in my tuition fees . KIIT also gives 5000 per month scholarships to the topper of the respective branches.
Campus Life
KIIT has a very beautiful eye catching campus . It spread across acres of land . Every branch of the engineering has an different campus . Our university is also providing solar facilities making it more sustainable and eco friendly. We have various clubs and societies in our college making it more fun college life with academics.
Hostel Facilities
KIIT has various hostel facilities such as 3 bed, 2 bed or sing bed AC or non AC rooms . Fees of every kind is different according to what preference you choose. Our mess fees is 22500 and had both veg and non veg options available. It is very easy to get hostel accommodation here. Boys hostel here is known as KINGS PALACE whereas girls hostel is known as QUEENS CASTLE.
Admission
Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology takes KIITEE entrance exams every year for the admission in BTech courses. The forms are free and is not that tough to crack. KIITEE is conducted in various phases with different cutoff's as per the availability of seats . One needs to focus on physics and mathematics in order to clear it in first attempt. KIIT also provides various reservations for the ST SC and other minorities of the country.
