Overall Experience in SMVDU

Their are variety of courses that this university offers it's students. Curriculum is designed to prepare students for both placement and competitive exams. Curriculum of each semester is designed very carefully taking in consideration the importance of subject and their sequence. Labs and practicals of each subject is included for real life exposure of the subjects. Students are tested on both theory and practical aspects of the subjects with the help of two minor and one major examination. The difficulty of these exams range from medium to difficult depending on the subjects.

Students become eligible for campus placement from 6th semester with an average package of 6-8 lakhs. Highest package annually goes upto 20+ lakhs. More than 60% of students get placed every year. My plans after completing bachelor's is to do my masters.

Total fee for one semester is approx 1,92,000. Including tution fee, hostel fee, mess fee and other charges. There are no such fee hikes. And in case if hikes students are pre informed. Waivers on tution fee are provided to the students on the basis of their JEE ranks and CGPA.

Campus life is pretty decent here. Campus is covered with lush green trees, it's clean and pollution free. There are numerous clubs such as dance, music, theatre, photography, astronomy, robotics, literary and many more. Annual cultural fest resurgence, Sports event sarang and annual tech fest titiksha takes place. Class rooms are well equipped with all the facilities like projector boards, air conditioning and comfortable seats. Labs have latest computer system and all the technologies.

Hostels are clean and well furnished. Sizes of the rooms are decent. Rooms provided by the hostel can be triplet, doublet or singlets. Doors with interlock, almirahs with lock, table, chair, book shelf are provided. Mess food is okay in taste with decent quality. We have a specific menu for all the four meals of the day. Registration of hostel can be done along with the college admission with annual fee of hostel including mess is 43,000. There are limited number of PG available around the college as it is a rural area

There are two kinds of admission process in my course one is from jee mains and other is on the basis of board percentage. Admission from JEE Mains takes place through JoSAA and approximate cutoff goes upto ranks 60k. Through boards cutoff varies from 93% to 96%. Application forms can be found on the official website of the university. Reservation benefits as per the norms of the central government. Tution fee waivers are also provided to the students on the basis of their JEE ranks and CGPA. Two minor exams and a major exam takes place with tha gap of a month with difficulty medium to high depending on the subject.
