Course Curriculum Overview

2.5

Competency based medical education assures that every medical graduate is competent to deliver the best health services to the person approaching them. The introduction of AETCOM in the curriculum ensures that he/she will perform his/ her duties diligently and will approach each patient with compassion and empathy. Regular exam testing both theoretical and practical knowledge gives confidence and room for improvement. No measures to curb the mental health issues in students are introduced in the curriculum. Frequently changing exam patterns is also a concern.

Internships Opportunities

3

1yr in the college is mandatory and a monthly stipend around 25K will be awarded tax free. First you have to complete 4.5 yr undergraduate course (MBBS). The patient load in the college is high and you will get a good exposure to important areas medical field.

Fees and Financial Aid

Typically yearly tuition fees will be around 25K. During the time of admission there are some miscellaneous fees, about 25K-30K.Books have to bought seperately. Financial assistance from government side is available (E grants) for financially backward and reservation categories. After 4.5 yr of education,1 yr intership in the college is mandatory and stipend will be awarded for the same.

Campus Life

2.5

The infrastructure is pretty much average. Many projects to improve it are undergoing. Student run social groups are quite active and various programmes to showcase one's talent frequently happen in college. Library services are available.Anti ragging campus gives more freedom and helps to develop a bond between students across batches.

Admission

I got selected through NEET 2020 in which I got AIR668 and my mark was 680. I was admitted through AIQ in the first round itself. Admission procedure have to completed by visiting the college before the next round of counseling starts.Once your admission to the college is completed you have to get yourself registered to KUHS. It's partly done online and your office clerk will help in the process. If everything can be done online lot of paperwork issues could have been resolved.

Even though a bit tight and rushy, this is in fact the best curriculum provided and followed by all medical colleges in kerala. The frequency of exam is high and difficulty level is as same as that of KUHS. This provides relevant experience for the students to weite the university exams

Course Curriculum Overview:

It's always relevant to the content being taught by the teachers. They always use application based questions to prepare us for a real life situation as well. First aid training was also completed. Some of the teachers are very interactive while some not. Short exams are conducted on a weekly basis while internal exams are conducted every 2/3 months. Not that difficult but it isn't that easy either. Very strict checking, nothing is liberal.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is a pretty hard one i must say but the feeling of putting on a white coat and looking after patients is surreal and that's the main essence of the job. The curriculum is very vast but each subject is important in its own way. The exams are all conducted in such a way that there's enough time for us to prepare .
