I like electronics thus I choose this course. Electronics and communication engineering is a fascinating field with endless possibilities for learning and innovation. The teachers in gec wayanad are highly qualified.

I am a first year student so i don't know much about internship opportunities of our college. But seniors said that the college provide more internship opportunities to students. If you have required skills you can use this opportunities.

Students can take placements from third year onwards. Compered to other government colleges the placements in our college is less. I believe in future it will be improved. I am planning to go for higher studies

Fees and Financial Aid

The overall cost, totalling approximately 3 lakhs which include semester, hostel and exam fees seems reasonable. Our active involvement in extracurricular activities and other college programs make the investment worthwhile.

Campus Life

The campus life is good. The college conduct tech fest and cultural festivals like diwali, holy and events such as freshers day and union day. The college have affiliations with organizations like IEEE, ISTE, G-Bot, NSS etc

Admission

I completed higher secondary education from Kerala board and attended keam. Then I got admission in spot admission held at gec trissur. I took admission within two days after the allotment. The senior students and faculties helped me to compete the admission process.

we are eligible for placement from the 7th sem. Many famous and small compines vist our college. Infosys, WIPRO, TCS vist our college. But the big companies take only few student. Highest package was 1,00,000. And the average package is around 4,00,000. Almost all students gets placed from the campus .

My Experience at NIT Calicut

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rate the EEE course curriculum around 8-8.5 /10 in terms of relevance.The curriculum provides strong fundamentals in core electrical engineering subjects and prepares students well for core jobs and higher studies.The course curriculum was revised in 2023, and our batch is the 1st batch under the new curriculum. however, there are still limited coding ,AI and data science subjects in EEE ,which could be improved. Exams are conducted times per semester and are generally moderately difficult.
