Course Curriculum Overview

As i am studying civil engineering, I think the curriculum is so relevant and comprehensive. Labs and workshops helps to understand more about real-world applications. The course curriculum should be more effective in applicative wise. The exams are conducted twice a year but sometimes the time gap between it is so short that students are not able to cover the whole syllabus.

Class Size: 75Course Fees: INR 10000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

As it is a government college avery year we have to pay just 10000 rupees as fees.The fees is less compared to private college. As there are many scholarships it is very affordable for all students. No other charges other than fees are collected.

Campus Life

Many technical and non- technical events are conducted in oir college like dyuthi (college technical fest), Nueva, ISTE convention and many more are conducted. The library building is of 3 floors which consists of vast variety of educational and non educational books. Classrooms have basic facilities, other than than every classroom has projectors. There is a special department which is completely dedicated for physical education.

Admission

We need to get a high rank in keam ( kerala engineering architecture and medical exam).Application can be found in kerala government site. The exam is usually conducted between the month of may and july. The exam is not much difficult compared to the jee exam.

Placement Experience:

we are eligible for placement from the 7th sem. Many famous and small compines vist our college. Infosys, WIPRO, TCS vist our college. But the big companies take only few student. Highest package was 1,00,000. And the average package is around 4,00,000. Almost all students gets placed from the campus .

My Experience at NIT Calicut

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rate the EEE course curriculum around 8-8.5 /10 in terms of relevance.The curriculum provides strong fundamentals in core electrical engineering subjects and prepares students well for core jobs and higher studies.The course curriculum was revised in 2023, and our batch is the 1st batch under the new curriculum. however, there are still limited coding ,AI and data science subjects in EEE ,which could be improved. Exams are conducted times per semester and are generally moderately difficult.

Course Curriculum Overview:

the course curriculum is lakhs relevance to modern industry demands. while it covers the basics there is minimum focus on practical skills emerging technologies and real world applications overall, the courses not comprehensive enough.

Is engineering here worth it?

Students are eligible from 7th semester to sit for interviews. The pod.ai app helps us in making the resume and calculating a cgpa to appear for the intwrviews. The pod.ai registration fees is 500?. Companies such as nissan,infosys,commandtech,bimlabs,gulfasia etc has visited . And the highest package was 11 LPA and lowest was 3 LPA

Prof Rajesh Menon of the mechanical department is a gold medalist from IIT MADRAS.

Remarks:

If you want to be in a controlled environment, focus on academics, make use of some good placement opportunities, and get somewhere career-wise I would be suggesting Amrita University.
