What Students Say
Likes
- Placements are decent if you work hard for it.
- There are opportunities available in various extracurricular fields.
- Various insightful programs and guest lectures are organised which really grooms one's personality.
Dislikes
- There is no proper connectivity. It's almost like we live in a forest.
- Infrastructure is poor. There are only 4 buildings in 100 acre college.
- Unavailability of hostels is another major concern.
Course Curriculum Overview
I didn't really check the curriculum before taking admission. I guess it is balanced. Even when I'm in CSE in first year we have few subjects of ECE and also some others which I felt were irrelevant. There's a sessional exam every month and They're not that tough. With little preparation anyone can excel in them.
Placement Experience
Placements are good. But they're declining so much. I guess students become eligible for placements from rth year. As far as I know highest package was 98 lpa but it was off campus. Highest on campus package was around 40 lpa. Percentage of students getting places is less than 40%. I'm going to try off campus. I heard a stat that this year only one student out of 68 who applied for infosys is placed.
Fees and Financial Aid
Fees is about 225k per year. Including hostel total cost would be around 15 lakhs. There are few scholarships awarded by state governments but I'm not aware of any scholarship that college provides. Every state government has different criteria for scholarship.
Campus Life
As I didn't get the hostel like many other people I reside outside the campus. So can't really participate in every activity. But there are still opportunities available. Our tech fest is named tantra fiesta is is held in December generally. And cultural festival named abhivyakti is held in March. Classrooms are well furnished. There's no proper playground in college. There's a program named pahal where students go to nearby villages and teach to underprivileged children there.
Admission
You have to clear a certain cutoff in JEE mains and according to counselling circumstances they'll decide whether you're eligible or not but still I'd say 96.5percentile is sufficient to get into this First you have to submit the online form and documents then after online verification they'll call you for a physical verification. Admission process is very smooth you won't have any problem with it. I didn't like the fact that there was this sort of competition for getting into the hostel and their hostel seats exhausted pretty quickly.
