IIIT NAGPUR: DREAMS COME TRUE

Course is completely focused to make student industry ready with dedicated subjects from first semester itself. The curriculum is best for you to grow and learn everything you want. As i am in cse department thus they are completely focusing on important subject like DSA for placements. There should be more teachers from outside states as most of the teachers are from nagpur or maharashtra who had done there PhDs from VNIT.

Many companies like Cisco, American Express , Forcepoint , Indiamart , CRM next , Edfora etc. were offered for internships to the students from which students could get an average stipend of 5000 per month.

Placements are good with average of 12-14lakhs and highest of 80lakhs in academic year of 2022-23. Companies visted are TCS , ZOMATO, SWIGGY etc. 85-92% students are placed in academic year of 2022-23..

Fees is charged on basis of odd and even semesters.Fees is comparatively high because it is an semi govt. college with TCS as its educational partner. Also this fees includes your Medical insurance and other basic amenities. You would cost around 14-15Lakhs for 4 yrs excluding your own expenses and including hostel fees. Many scholarships are available . You can apply for state scholarships of your home state or apply for NSP.

Campus life is somewhat good and somewhat bad.Campus is located at a lonely place near MNLU college of nagpur near highway thus there is no exposure to market or other shops outside your college. There are a total of 3 fests to happen every year which includes TANTRAFIESTA-technical fest,KSHITIJ-sports fest and ABHIVYAKTI-cultural fest. No ground is there for sports only badminton court and basketball court is there.Ground could be developed this year.

Hostel has its own grocery shop and salon.Games are allowed to play. No coolers or AC are provided but can keep a cooler bought yourself with a fine of 500 rs per month. Mess is good and has wide variety in food all over week. Can rent a place at nearby town BUTIBORI 6km away from campus.

Admission in this college is through JOSSAA counselling and CSAB counselling. This counselling starts after result declaration of JEE MAINS and JEE ADV. Exams. You are eligible for this course if you sccored more than 75% in 12th class and appeared for Jee mains exam. The cutoff for this college in JEE MAINS is between 95-97%ile and 70-80%ile for category. The application form will be available to you on college website after declaration of result of the above mentioned counsellings. Exams are frequent as per semester you have to give two mid sem exams and one final end sem exam.
