Course Curriculum Overview

The curriculum is actually good. It helps to prepare you for the real world application. The way of teaching method is very nice. The exam timing is 3hours. There is nothing much to improve in this specific curriculum

Fees and Financial Aid

The Total fee structure is ?10,000/-. Since it's a government college,the fee structure is very acceptable and low. There are many scholarships available here which provide reduction in the college fee structure . E Grantz, Reliance, CETAA etc are some of the names of scholarships which is available

Campus Life

The Campus life at CET is obviously Super. The college is known for celebrations and festival. There are many clubs in CET . All these clubs required some entrance test. Basically, there are 3 main festival in CET. They are DRISHTI,DHWANI,DISHA. Many books are available in the college library. The college library is very famous. Excelerators,Aerocet , Astrocet are some of the club in CET.

Admission

The Admission to this college is through the Entrance Exam named "KEAM". The Admission process was very smooth. We should submit many Cirtificates which they asked before. The cut-off required for the admission to CET is less than 4000 rank in general category

Placement Experience:

we are eligible for placement from the 7th sem. Many famous and small compines vist our college. Infosys, WIPRO, TCS vist our college. But the big companies take only few student. Highest package was 1,00,000. And the average package is around 4,00,000. Almost all students gets placed from the campus .

My Experience at NIT Calicut

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rate the EEE course curriculum around 8-8.5 /10 in terms of relevance.The curriculum provides strong fundamentals in core electrical engineering subjects and prepares students well for core jobs and higher studies.The course curriculum was revised in 2023, and our batch is the 1st batch under the new curriculum. however, there are still limited coding ,AI and data science subjects in EEE ,which could be improved. Exams are conducted times per semester and are generally moderately difficult.

Is engineering here worth it?

Students are eligible from 7th semester to sit for interviews. The pod.ai app helps us in making the resume and calculating a cgpa to appear for the intwrviews. The pod.ai registration fees is 500?. Companies such as nissan,infosys,commandtech,bimlabs,gulfasia etc has visited . And the highest package was 11 LPA and lowest was 3 LPA

Life at CET

This college is the best government college in Kerala. It has been consistently first in KIRF ranking. It has very cheap fees. The campus is very beautiful and spacious (about 200 acres). My best choice of colleges very IITs and NITs like most people. I couldn't crack JEE. I only applied to this college because I had very high ranking in KEAM exam and was confident of acceptance. KEAM exam is a lot easier to crack than JEE. It has basic higher secondary school syllabus. To get my course you would have to be around 700th rank. To get other courses in my college you can have rank as low as 20k....Read More
