The infrastructure if the college is one of the main thing
Here we have a restaurant, 2 canteen and a seperate college mess for all the hostel inmates

I think like every college there are several political parties and strikes

Course Curriculum Overview

Syllabus here is very much helpful for our future and focuses on AI for CSE and IT course along with coding and several other programming language. The curriculum prepares us very well for rhe real world application.

The placement offered by CUSAT is one of the best for any engineering student. Major companies are Tata, Amazon, CRED, Flipkart. Last years highest package was 35 lpa for 12 students and has an average of 10LPA for Computer Science

Fees and Financial Aid

Based on your type of seat you'll be having the course fee. For State merit students it'll be 28000 per semester, All India Quota students will have to pay 58000 per semester anr based on your reservation type the fee will decrease, all that details will be there in the cusat website

Campus Life

The annual technical festival is Dhishhna, a 4-5 day program, where a lot of students can showcase your talent as an engineering student. Here we have a university library for all the students and a SOE library separately for engineering students. The college gives importance to sports also as many 1st years ate given chance in university team

Admission

The admission process was very easy. First we need to register for the CUSAT CAT examination. Then when the result is published you can opt for the allotment process, then based on your rank you'll be getting seat

OUR COLLEGE LIFE

Placement Experience:

we are eligible for placement from the 7th sem. Many famous and small compines vist our college. Infosys, WIPRO, TCS vist our college. But the big companies take only few student. Highest package was 1,00,000. And the average package is around 4,00,000. Almost all students gets placed from the campus .

My Experience at NIT Calicut

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rate the EEE course curriculum around 8-8.5 /10 in terms of relevance.The curriculum provides strong fundamentals in core electrical engineering subjects and prepares students well for core jobs and higher studies.The course curriculum was revised in 2023, and our batch is the 1st batch under the new curriculum. however, there are still limited coding ,AI and data science subjects in EEE ,which could be improved. Exams are conducted times per semester and are generally moderately difficult.

Is engineering here worth it?

Students are eligible from 7th semester to sit for interviews. The pod.ai app helps us in making the resume and calculating a cgpa to appear for the intwrviews. The pod.ai registration fees is 500?. Companies such as nissan,infosys,commandtech,bimlabs,gulfasia etc has visited . And the highest package was 11 LPA and lowest was 3 LPA

If you want to be in a controlled environment, focus on academics, make use of some good placement opportunities, and get somewhere career-wise I would be suggesting Amrita University.

My journey at CUSAT: A students perspective

I also wrote KEAM exam along with CUSAT in which I was able to secure a rank well enough to get Mechanical Engineering in CET, Trivandrum which I got in allotment. But since my mind was already set to take ECE as my degree due to my interest and passion for electronics and computers. And yes I do recomment CUSAT to everyone. To join CUSAT you have to write the CUSAT CAT entrance exams and then the seat are allotted based on the rank you earn in the entrance examinations. And usually a rank around 1k can get you CS, 1.5k can get you ECE and SFE, 2k can get you IT, 3.5k can get you EE and 7k can get you ME and CE....Read More
