I am currently studying Electronics and communication in this institute. I am interested in this area due to which I took this course.This course will prepare you for many real world applications based on the course and for getting higher education on this course.The exams are held in a periodic manner and it is moderately tough exam

Students are eligible for campus placement after 6th semester. Many companise comes here for recruiting new and brilliand minded individuals.Most of the students get placed in any companies.Average packages are 6 lakhs it can vary from company to company

Fees and Financial Aid

There are reservation benefits available in this institute and also many scholarships available which for an extent makes it affordable to study here compared to other private institutes.Fees are to be given every semester and extra examination fees for each semester.

There are many programs taking place.Our technical festival is called dhishna.There are many competitions based on our talents,sports etc. our library includes wide variety of books which will help in your education.Many clubs are available for every student to join.We have platform to showcase all our talents.

Admission

For taking admission in cusat we firstly need to attend an entrance exam which comprises of questions from your 11th,12th syllabus.These exams are taking place once a year within two to three days in different examination centres.It is a computer based examination.The exam is moderately tough and time management is crucial for this exam.Results are published in their official website and we need to choose which course that we are interested to take.When admission procedure starts we will get notification on which courses we can get based on our rank.Then we have to pay fees to get admission. The document verification and other related things for admission takes place offline in the Cusat campus on a particular day.I am satisfied with admission process.

OUR COLLEGE LIFE

Placement Experience:

we are eligible for placement from the 7th sem. Many famous and small compines vist our college. Infosys, WIPRO, TCS vist our college. But the big companies take only few student. Highest package was 1,00,000. And the average package is around 4,00,000. Almost all students gets placed from the campus .

My Experience at NIT Calicut

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rate the EEE course curriculum around 8-8.5 /10 in terms of relevance.The curriculum provides strong fundamentals in core electrical engineering subjects and prepares students well for core jobs and higher studies.The course curriculum was revised in 2023, and our batch is the 1st batch under the new curriculum. however, there are still limited coding ,AI and data science subjects in EEE ,which could be improved. Exams are conducted times per semester and are generally moderately difficult.

Is engineering here worth it?

Students are eligible from 7th semester to sit for interviews. The pod.ai app helps us in making the resume and calculating a cgpa to appear for the intwrviews. The pod.ai registration fees is 500?. Companies such as nissan,infosys,commandtech,bimlabs,gulfasia etc has visited . And the highest package was 11 LPA and lowest was 3 LPA

If you want to be in a controlled environment, focus on academics, make use of some good placement opportunities, and get somewhere career-wise I would be suggesting Amrita University.

My journey at CUSAT: A students perspective

I also wrote KEAM exam along with CUSAT in which I was able to secure a rank well enough to get Mechanical Engineering in CET, Trivandrum which I got in allotment. But since my mind was already set to take ECE as my degree due to my interest and passion for electronics and computers. And yes I do recomment CUSAT to everyone. To join CUSAT you have to write the CUSAT CAT entrance exams and then the seat are allotted based on the rank you earn in the entrance examinations. And usually a rank around 1k can get you CS, 1.5k can get you ECE and SFE, 2k can get you IT, 3.5k can get you EE and 7k can get you ME and CE....Read More
