Ambience and surrounding of college is good and vibe.

It provides many government and private job opportunities. Also many interships are provided by the college.so the students can easily get practical knowledge about their branch.And the lab section are good

There are many intership opportunities provided by the college. Many companies like vipro , l and t etc provide opportunities for placements intership workshop etc and students get many experience from it

Placement Experience

From 3rd sem they provide interview for placement and also 4th year. Many students are getting placed from our college. special classes are given to students regarding the placement by the placement cell.

Fees and Financial Aid

The tution fee is 10000 and also there are semester exam fees. Hostel fee is about 6000 per month. There are many schorolship provided like e grantz and semeins etc. they provide laptops textbooks etc for students

Campus Life

There is a tech fest named dyuthi and cultural fest, kalostav etc. our library has many books regarding text books and reference etc. there are many sports activities and cultures. Also many clubs like IEEE etc

Hostel Facilities

The hostel is good and comfortable. I am currently staying at college hostel. Admission is from college itself based on income and rank. Food is average and some of the basic requirements are not provided.

Hostel Fee: INR 7000 per year

Admission

I opted for civil engineering. The eligibility for the course is +2. There are many reservations benefits for OBC ,sc,st etc. the exam timing is 3 hr for sem exam. Admission is through college official website.

Placement Experience:

we are eligible for placement from the 7th sem. Many famous and small compines vist our college. Infosys, WIPRO, TCS vist our college. But the big companies take only few student. Highest package was 1,00,000. And the average package is around 4,00,000. Almost all students gets placed from the campus .

My Experience at NIT Calicut

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rate the EEE course curriculum around 8-8.5 /10 in terms of relevance.The curriculum provides strong fundamentals in core electrical engineering subjects and prepares students well for core jobs and higher studies.The course curriculum was revised in 2023, and our batch is the 1st batch under the new curriculum. however, there are still limited coding ,AI and data science subjects in EEE ,which could be improved. Exams are conducted times per semester and are generally moderately difficult.

Is engineering here worth it?

Students are eligible from 7th semester to sit for interviews. The pod.ai app helps us in making the resume and calculating a cgpa to appear for the intwrviews. The pod.ai registration fees is 500?. Companies such as nissan,infosys,commandtech,bimlabs,gulfasia etc has visited . And the highest package was 11 LPA and lowest was 3 LPA

If you want to be in a controlled environment, focus on academics, make use of some good placement opportunities, and get somewhere career-wise I would be suggesting Amrita University.
