What Students Say

Likes

we have great teachers who either doing some phd in our college or completed higher degree
we have good hostel accomodation and those who did'nt get into hostel still can have good food at hostel
we have great ground which include ground for cricket,football ,batminton

Dislikes

there is no trees within campus as it gets too hot in summer
there aren't cleaning fans and upper ceiling of classrom as it gets dusty there
there are cases when our are near campus get flash flood during monson

Course Curriculum Overview

classrooms are pretty much average while facuty and other teaching staff offer great assistance to help in our studies . as from2023 new curriculam was introduced it was easier to study in our resective branches

Internships Opportunities

teachers are trying to get intership oppurtunities for students from startof 3 rd semester as they believe students need to get hands on experience on what they study in their class some of them even arrange intership

Placement Experience

from what i know average is about 7to8 lakhs per annum whilethe top package include 24 lakhs which are given to students with good cgpa and better skills that are needed by company recruiter if you are having these you are probably get in a dream package

Fees and Financial Aid

fees structure is divided into state merit and allindia merit given to students according to their rank and their reservaion category state merit students have to pay 24,000 per sem while all indiann merit have topay 56,000 persem and for sc's and st's they offer more financial support

Campus Life

classroom are not as good a i though ,but we have great sport field which include both indoor and outoor they are providing services such as gym ,canteen,and book stalls they also have hostel services

Admission

admission process is good ,it was a systametically well arranged process .we were given refreshment during the process and there was well prepared seating arrangement .exams are pretty easywhile comparing to other competetive exams

OUR COLLEGE LIFE

Placement Experience:

we are eligible for placement from the 7th sem. Many famous and small compines vist our college. Infosys, WIPRO, TCS vist our college. But the big companies take only few student. Highest package was 1,00,000. And the average package is around 4,00,000. Almost all students gets placed from the campus .

My Experience at NIT Calicut

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rate the EEE course curriculum around 8-8.5 /10 in terms of relevance.The curriculum provides strong fundamentals in core electrical engineering subjects and prepares students well for core jobs and higher studies.The course curriculum was revised in 2023, and our batch is the 1st batch under the new curriculum. however, there are still limited coding ,AI and data science subjects in EEE ,which could be improved. Exams are conducted times per semester and are generally moderately difficult.

Is engineering here worth it?

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible from 7th semester to sit for interviews. The pod.ai app helps us in making the resume and calculating a cgpa to appear for the intwrviews. The pod.ai registration fees is 500?. Companies such as nissan,infosys,commandtech,bimlabs,gulfasia etc has visited . And the highest package was 11 LPA and lowest was 3 LPA

If you want to be in a controlled environment, focus on academics, make use of some good placement opportunities, and get somewhere career-wise I would be suggesting Amrita University.

My journey at CUSAT: A students perspective

I also wrote KEAM exam along with CUSAT in which I was able to secure a rank well enough to get Mechanical Engineering in CET, Trivandrum which I got in allotment. But since my mind was already set to take ECE as my degree due to my interest and passion for electronics and computers. And yes I do recomment CUSAT to everyone. To join CUSAT you have to write the CUSAT CAT entrance exams and then the seat are allotted based on the rank you earn in the entrance examinations. And usually a rank around 1k can get you CS, 1.5k can get you ECE and SFE, 2k can get you IT, 3.5k can get you EE and 7k can get you ME and CE....Read More
