- Campus is green surrounded by beautiful mountains and fresh air around
- Facilities are good there is a free e vehicle too which can help in travelling within the campus
- Infrastructure is amazing great buildings are there by cutting mountains make it much appreciable
Dislikes
- Remote location makes it quite difficult to travel
- Animals are wild over here like monkeys are dangerous and can provide severe damage and also leopard are seen near due to remote location
- Course curriculum is old for previous batch (however it is updated for newer batch)
Course Curriculum Overview
*Solid foundation : the curriculum provides a stong foundation in the core principle of chemical engineering teachers are well experienced and dedicated towards students *Laboratory experiments: the lab provide valuable hands on experience with a great laboratories and infrastructure Area of improvement : Assistant helps in the laboratories in explaning the working are quite less experienced and need more knowledge about the labs experiments. Exams and assesment : it involes mid semester and end semester exams in between there can be conductions of viva or assignment or quize or presentation etc
Placement Experience
After 6th semester company stars hiring students the eligibilty is set by the respective companies applying companies recruting are many like reliance, cread,unacademy, stryker corporation etc package varies as per branch overall it is 13 lakh for chemical it is 10 to 11 lakh per annum although it exceeds to 24 lakhs and for cse to 52 lakh About 80 % students get palced depending upon branch for cse it is 96%
Fees and Financial Aid
Tuition fees is around 75 thousands for general category student and hostel fees varies 20000 to 40000 per semester and mess charges around 5000 to 10000 which is prety good Scholarships are provided for exceptional academic performance which is merit based but student of reserved category can try for their state scholarship programs Csss,NSP etc Campus employement opportunity: Teaching assistant Research assistant Library assistant Administrative assistent
Campus Life
Social life : Hostel: Living in hostel is cool and beautiful as hostel are goods with good facilities and food is also good their are also various sports activities like badminton provided in all hostels Annual fest : So their are two annual fest con ducted Hillfair which is the cultural fest and Nimbus which is the technical fest both are amazing and worth visiting and participating Clubs : their are various clubs and socities like Hermetica for chemical,Ecell,Dramatics,yoga,technical,metamorph,iste,spec etc Infrastructure : Library is vast and automated where you can issue book by just your id card on scanning machine Classrooms: classrooms are big and well maintained Sports : Their is a big ground along with basketball court tennis court kabbadi area etc
Hostel Facilities
Types of rooms: there are single double triple and four seater rooms in hostel depending upon money you give Facilities: Bed ,study table, chair,almirah are given for each student with laundary services ,gyser, water cooler,etc meal: meal is given so that every student get proper nutrition with fruits and keeps on changing every day Although some hostel mess gets unsatisfactory sometimes
Admission
As a student of Nit hamirpur let me share my personaL experience regarding admission process. eligibility: *you should have more than 75% in your 10th and 12th *you have qualify the jee mains examination Application: *Application is done by jossa counselling where you have fill the college name in the choice list *make sure you fill the choice before deadline so be updated Cutoff: *Plan to score above 95% for general category student reserved one can get admission at various courses according to their categoryand course they are choosing Things I do not like : you have to wait for the results and if you did something wrong while counselling process no one can help you
