Course Curriculum Overview

I selected BTech Civil because of more chances of jobs in private sector as well as public sector..We can do internships and all with our studies and the workshop lab and faculties are making a very important part in one's life.

The internships opppurtunities is very high in government engineering college thrissur.Here,There are variety of clubs and internships to improve our skill and to provide quality over quantity education.

Placement Experience

Actually, the placement for BTech Civil engineering is low compared to other engineering branches but in our college placement rate is very high for all engineering branches with very high salary packages

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees per year are 9650. Scholarships can be applied to students who have non-creamy layers and other minor categories. There are a lot of scholarships for tech students. we can apply and easily access them.

The campus life at government engineering college Thrissur is something special to talk about. We can maintain quality friendships with each and everyone in the college. we can also connect with our seniors and juniors.

Admission

Selection is through keam exam. if one's rank is more than 12,000, they can easily get admission in Gect. the admission process here is very cool principal professors and other faculties will guide us correctly from the first day onwards.

Faculty

The faculty here are so talented in teaching tech students. They teach us with daily life experiences and soo we can understand each topic correctly..so that we get a deep knowledge about a particular topic.

OUR COLLEGE LIFE

Placement Experience:

we are eligible for placement from the 7th sem. Many famous and small compines vist our college. Infosys, WIPRO, TCS vist our college. But the big companies take only few student. Highest package was 1,00,000. And the average package is around 4,00,000. Almost all students gets placed from the campus .

My Experience at NIT Calicut

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rate the EEE course curriculum around 8-8.5 /10 in terms of relevance.The curriculum provides strong fundamentals in core electrical engineering subjects and prepares students well for core jobs and higher studies.The course curriculum was revised in 2023, and our batch is the 1st batch under the new curriculum. however, there are still limited coding ,AI and data science subjects in EEE ,which could be improved. Exams are conducted times per semester and are generally moderately difficult.

Is engineering here worth it?

Students are eligible from 7th semester to sit for interviews. The pod.ai app helps us in making the resume and calculating a cgpa to appear for the intwrviews. The pod.ai registration fees is 500?. Companies such as nissan,infosys,commandtech,bimlabs,gulfasia etc has visited . And the highest package was 11 LPA and lowest was 3 LPA

If you want to be in a controlled environment, focus on academics, make use of some good placement opportunities, and get somewhere career-wise I would be suggesting Amrita University.
