Likes

I really liked the campus . It's clean and it has many places like an amphitheatre, nescafe, football field , cricket field and many sports .
It provides different facilities like buses
The college toilets are very clean. We also have a gym, swimming pool.

Dislikes

Due to the location in hills sometimes we feel lazy to walk

Course Curriculum Overview

I am interested in CSE . Downtown University provides two types of courses in CSE. CSE (normal one) and CSE(Sandstone edition). Downtown University is famous for CSE department. The maximum lpa last year was 24lpa

Class Size: 60Course Fees: INR 250000 per year

Internships Opportunities

Companies that comes to our college are TCS, Infosys, Medicure , Google , Amazon , etc.The average Lpa is 10 . It can go upto 30 Lpa. Projects can vary based on the different companies coming to the campus.

Placement Experience

From the 6th semester students are more likely to get placements. Some of the companies that visited our university are TCS , Infosys, etc. The highest package can be of 10 lpa. Students with good cgpa are more likely to get placements.

Fees and Financial Aid

The cost of my entire course is 2.5 lakhs . As compared to the other private universities in Assam, its the lowest. Its really helpful for the students. But though the lower price of the fees still no compromise in the education provided.

Campus Life

Campus is first class . We have different clubs for the students such as the gaming club, music, science , yoga , mma , etc. The college provides campus bazar on every fridays for the students to give their shops and learn about entrepreneurship in the ground level.

Admission

Admission process can be done by two types online with help of office employees or offline in the campus. There are also options for hostels ,gym , and different clubs like music, gaming, yoga ,etc. .

Faculty

Faculty members are good and enough in number. They provide proper assistance to the students. They behave well . There are also many lab assistants who help in our labs . I usually enjoy talking to my teachers . They guide well . We attend classes everyday . As for the topic they cover and complete everything before exam timely.

Placement Experience:

Placements at IIT Guwahati are excellent especially in the tech field ,with high placement rates and strong average packages generally Rs 30 lakh per annum. Top companies regularly visit the campus. After completing the course if i do not get placed on campus which is hardly possible i'll look for other off campus placements.

A calm and disciplined campus life at JIST

Course Curriculum Overview:

Most of the professors are good here.The college covers the core subjects required for strong foundation in engineering. However the theoretical coverage is good the scope for practical exposure is still required.

Placement Experience:

The placement is quite good in my college. In 7 th semester the placements start and the package goes from 16lpa to 2 cr . About 75 percent student who applied got placed . I want to work in a software firm.

The placement of Assam engineering College is average as compared to the other colleges like iit and not. Aec gives placement around 20-24 lakhs and many company parts in the placement cell and many of the students get their dream job

Placement Experience:

Students normally appear for placements in fourth year with two placement seasons namely from december to january and february to march. Companies include quant companies and tech giants like JPMC, Reliance Industries, WellsFargo,Piramal, Standard Chartered,Texas Instrumentation, walmart, Microsoft, Amazon, Deloitte,Oracle, HCL, Barclays, Tata steel, uber, legato, Mastercard, Nutanix, BPCL, BEL,PWC, Socgen, etc. Almost 80% students get placed every year with the average package ?1,60,000. The highest package was 1.68 crore per annum from the branch of Computer Science.

ASSAM UNIVERSITY SILCHAR , THE GOOD THE BAD AND THE UGLY

Placement Experience:

only fourth year students are eligible for campus placements . the detalis of the visiting compaies are not thte sure but at least 10 stuents are placed each year from every single batch. the higest so far was 20 lpa and it was in amazon , the student who cracked that placement applied it off campus . on campus placement was not more than 10 lpa so far . the percentage of students getting placemnets are less than 50% not because of quality of placement but majority stuents opt for higher studies or goverment jobs rather than direct placement . my paln is to also pursue higher education

Charmingly Challenging Champion

Placement Experience:

After the 6th sem placement season starts. The intern season takes place at the end of the 4th sem. The placement of the college is extremely good. The average package of the college is around 21 lakhs. That of CSE is 41 lakhs. Mncs is 35 lakhs etc. Projected package of my branch DSAI is 40 lakhs.
