Thapar one of the best colleges

Curiculum is much better than other colleges which still follow old practices outdated concepts and methods. I specificaly took this course because of the intrest in this field and the strong support of the gvernment in this field.

One upcoming internship in our collge is about manufacturing of a drone specialised for army purposes capable of carying heavy load. Altough internship oppurtunites are great here. They also provide hostel and food if u get selected.

Campus does offer placement assistance to students. Top companies like Google, Apple , Microsft , Amazon do visti our campus though they dont hire much students but they do give crazy packages. Highest was around 50L. Majority of students do get placed. My plans are to start a buisnesss of my own.

TIET offers a lot of scholorships which cuts your tuition fees by half or one-fourth. Though they impose conditions on them like maintaining a a 8+ CGPA in all semester and a moral code of conduct. Still the total cost of education here considering all factors is much higher than other colleges which is a big negative. With the increasing intake every year difficulty to grab them will increase further more.

For someone like me who loves to venture out and party hard I dont feel like TIET is for that. Life her is very peacfuly inside and outisde the campus. TIET has one fo the best library in the country (Check up on google for pics ). All major clubs are presents in thapar ranging from small art and craft clubs to big ones backed by google and microsoft.

Collge Hostel are pretty good with all the required necesities. Food can be improved and one thing I noticed is qunatity of food items are less compared to other colleges. Non- veg is not provided except egg.

Admission process ws smooth and I encountered no problems . Everything is available at thier website . Like other collges TIET has the same elgibility criteria liken 75+ in boards and they take amdission through jee mains and PCM score in boards. 50% of seats are for jee rest for boards.

From my personal experience faculty is good and supportive. Majority of the are from top colleges like IITs, BITS and some even from abroad. They regulary take part in workshops held both abroad and in india. i dont know the exact ratio but I never felt like the faculty is less.
