It's a college I would suggest every girl come and enjoy. It has a perfect mixture of study and fun.

I have opted for botany hons in Gargi college, and Gargi college is well known for the botany department. In Delhi University, the best college to study botany is Gargi college. Also, it's a girls college and I am from Jharkhand it's very safe being in Delhi.

The course deals with plants. We study anatomy, economic botany, plant pathology, genetics, biotechnology, physiology, algae, fungi, archegoniate etc. Botany itself is a very vast topic and each and every subtopic has scope for research. We have also done many research projects in college

Yes, internships are there but most of them are mainly for BCom and eng honors student. Some internships are for all the courses. The general stipend is approx 10000 per month.

Good companies visit such as EY, KPMG, Delloites, Oberoi, Wipro, niit etc. Placements are not for science students these are generally for commerce students and almost 90% are placed with minimum 2.5 lakh package and up to 8 lakhs. This year only kpmg took 8 students.

We have Reverie as our annual fest which is of 3 days, celebrities visit during these days. The first day is band performance, second EDM night and third is star night. One more annual Diwali fest is there called Zastava it is organized by NSS society of college where NGOs are invited. Different departmental fests are also organized through the year

It's very reasonable. Since it's a central government college, the fees lie in the range of 8000-12000 per year. College also provides a scholarship to financially poor students and help them in need. So being in Delhi and government college is itself a very big opportunity

Yes, scholarships are available for financially poor students. Also, some scholarships are there for the semester and annual toppers.

Campus life is awesome since there are no boys we can see here women doing all things and are equally capable of doing jobs that are done by men of coed colleges. We have many societies such as enliven, euphony, samranjini, spars, najakat, chitij these are singing, dancing, acting societies. They compete during fests and bring many awards to college. Debate society is also there

There isn't any hostel in our college. But nearby localities have Pg facility for girls. Pg charges range from 6000- 16000 depending on room, food and facility provided. Some of the students come from home and some lives in a flat on a sharing basis. Yeah there is a complaint regarding food quality from many pgs

You won't believe who our alumni are. Urvashi rautela, Uma Qureshi, Sanya Malhotra, are our alumni. Even some of our alumni are the best journalist and entrepreneur.

We have semester exams. Before exams, we have internals and practicals. Science students are too busy with lab and file work. Then we have to prepare our assignments to prepare for our tests. But while preparing for internals it becomes easy to prepare for the semester exams. The result comes after one month

I got admission in this by merit list. The every year university of Delhi releases form for bachelor admission which is based in the merit list. I have filled up the form. My percentage was 94.2, so according to my marks I cleared the first cutoff in Gargi college, then we came here for document verification and paid the fees.

I must say Gargi college is blessed with the best faculty of the University of Delhi. Highly qualified professors and very experienced in the field teaches us. They give their 100 % to deliver us the content. Professors are very sweet and they are always ready to help you.
