Entrance Preview

I took MT-CET & scored 150 marks. I opted for this college coz it has good placements, campus, a decent college life & a great atmosphere. I chose mechanical as it is my subject of interest but other deparments are also good.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course curriculum is as prescribed by the University of Pune which is very reputed & it is much better than many other universities.

Internships Opportunities

No internship has been offered by the college to me yet but I have heard from the seniors that only a few students are offered internship based on the academic performance.

Placement Experience

3.5

Placements & job opportunities for the Comp, IT, E&TC departments are excellent. Almost all eligible students are placed. The average package for the students of these deparents is around 4 lacs. Most of the students are placed in mass recruiters like Cognizant, Infosys, Accenture. But a few students get a high package & are placed in good companies like Delloite, Barclays. The highest package goes around 10-12 lacs. For the mechanical departments, the placements are not as goodm The number of students recruited by the core companies is quite low. Tata Motors, Mahindra, Thermax are few of the core companies which visit the campus every year. Mercedes Benz aslo visits the campus some times. About 1/3 rd of the students were placed last year. Most students prefer to get placed in one of the IT mass recruiters if they don't get a job in the core ones.

College Events

4.5

The technical festival of the college is 'Tesla'. The footfalls & the participatiom for the events are great considering the college is reputed & situated in the MIT Campus. 'Aarohan', the cultural team of the college is very active & organizes a cultural fest every year which is a hit & popular among the students.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fees for general category students are Rs. 92,485 which are higher than many other colleges but not as high as some colleges like MIT, VIT. The fees are moderate to say the least & not a big issue.

Fees and Financial Aid

I haven't heard about anyone getting a loan from the college. The college is very strict regarding timely payment of fees. Regarding scholarship, the ones provided by the government are available but none are provided by the college.

Campus Life

4.5

Campus life is amazing & better than many othe colleges in Pune. All the cultural & technical fests, other extracurricular events make the experience exciting & one doesn't feel bored. The gender ratio is good in all the departments except mechanical which is the case everywhere. Most of the population is Marathi speaking but there are student with different mother tongue as well in good number. The crowd is excellent, you can see many groups of students hanging out together so hardly any case of any discrimination. All the students are friendly & there should be no issues regarding the campus life. A large part of the crowd is from the upper & upper middle class & there a few from the lower middle class too. Students participate in a number of technical workshops & events like Robocon, Baja, Supra. The sports event of the college is also a big one & is participated in by many teams. Students also participate in events of other colleges. To sum up, the students are very active & enthusiastic.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

The girls hostel is located inside the campus which is very convenient for the girls. But the boys hostel is located at about 1 km from the college. So most students prefer to stay in private hostels & PGs near the college. The fees of the boys hostel are

Alumni/Alumna

The alumni network of the colleges is extremely good. A number of passed out students visit the college & guide the students for competions like Robocon, Supra & also for cultural competions like Purushottam & Firodiya Karandak.

Exam Structure

The University exams are conducted according to the university. Besides them, no. of class tests & unit tests are conducted by the college before the university exams for the practice of students.

Faculty

3.5

The faculty is pretty average. There are some very good professors but they are few in number, the rest are average.

I choose this course because I have genuine interest in civil engineering. The faculty student ration is 1:50. Our faculties are well qualified they are master's degree holders in design and structural engineering. Some of them are PhD holders and many of them have done their master's from NIT and IIT. Term exams are scheduled after every 2 months. it is easy to pass because it consists of 30 marks only.
