Course Curriculum Overview
I applied for a place in the Computer Science & Engineering department. It's one of the award-winning departments of this institute. I got admission after successfully passing JELET (West Bengal Joint Entrance for Lateral Entry). There were 2 semesters each year with obvious high difficulty levels. I got placement in Infosys after course completion with the help of proper technical and soft skill sessions.
Placement Experience
The place of Heritage Institue of Technology is excellent. The institute has a dedicated placement cell that has collaborations with various renowned Multi-National Companies like Infosys, Wipro, TCS, Cognizant, IBM, and many more. A large number of students get placed in those companies each year.
Fees and Financial Aid
The tuition fee was approximately INR 43,000 per year. We needed to submit half of the yearly tuition fee at the beginning of each semester. Apart from training sessions of the institute, I got a chance to have a technical training at HCL.
Campus Life
I enjoyed the campus life very much. The campus of the institute is located on Chowbaga Road, near Ruby General Hospital. The landscape is beautiful with lots of greeneries, inter-connected roads, and buildings. Classrooms are huge with modern ceramic boards. Some special classrooms are equipped with projectors. A Central computer center is also there. Heritage Institute of Technology also offers outdoor games facilities like cricket, football, swimming, basketball, etc.
Admission
12th students needed to pass the Joint Entrance exam to get a place in their respective department in Heritage Institute of Technology. As I was a diploma holder already, I applied for the institute via West Bengal joint Entrance for Lateral Entry or JELET. We got primary admission procedure started at the counselling session after the JELET exam.
Faculty
The professors are highly qualified. The faculty-to-student ratio is approximately 1:15. Here professors help students build strong foundations in learning and character building. That's why students of Heritage Institute of Technology students are achieving great success each year.
