The course covers all the subjects of the core that are needed for the gate and placement examination as well provides the subjects that are interdisciplinary and can help the students for preparation of banking exams and IT jobs

This year due to recession the placement scenario was not great however still most of students were able to get placed The students are eligible for placement after 6 sem The highest package was 1800000 And average package is 800000 Almost 40% students are placed After the degree I plan to prepare for government job

The fee for mess and hostel is same for every student 12000 and 8000 respectively for each semester the course fee vary according to category and family income of the student for general student it's 52000 per semester Scholarships are provided for students having family income below a certain amount Fees hikes are not that common

There are number of clubs and events students can participate in and overall the pleasant weather of Srinagar makes it a great adventure place The google forms are circulated for the selection process of the clubs

For the first three years 4 seater room is given and in final year 2 seater room is given The room has wifi , bed, almirahs with common washrooms for every floor and laundry service Mess menu is changed every semester according to students wishes every student taking hostel has to take mess and the service is taken by applying at the online Samarth portal of nit Srinagar

The admission process is jee examination and the cut off at my time was 90 percentile after clearing the exam one have to sit for josaa counselling where one have to fill the preference of college and course in assending order

Teachers are well educated and have phd from iits and provide great guidance and help students learn and understand the concepts really well The teacher to students ratio is 1:20 Approachability is easy as one can simply visit the office of the teacher
