Course Curriculum Overview
Course curriculum is vast and covers all the topics necessary for us as a graduate engineer. Curriculum also focuses on alternative energy resources too as in today's world alternative resources are quite talked about. Exam is conducted in three class tests along with a final end semester exam.
Internships Opportunities
Internship in this college as far as I know is mainly 3 types. After first year during summer break one has to complete social internship. During second year summer break one has to go through academic internship. In third year break industrial internship comes. As of paid or free. It's up to where they are applying for internship.
Placement Experience
Campus placement starts from 8 semester. Companies like NRL, haldia, vedanta, siemens have visited our college. In Vedanta the package goes up to 12-14 lakhs per Annum. Haldia too offers a good annual salary.
Fees and Financial Aid
Fee structure is quite low compared to private engineering colleges. The rates doesn't change that much too. For lateral admission overall I paid 18k in which we got bus transport facility at no extra cost too . In terms of scholarships you can apply Ishan Uday, ongc scholarship and Pragati also( for girls only)
Campus Life
Campus life here is quite happening. In even semester there is freshers as well as another fun freshers event called "sinaki". Diwali is also celebrated here in college premises. In even semester there is loads of events like tech utsav,tech axon, udbhavanam, pyrokinesis( our annual tech fest), cultural week, sports week. Our college library provides book free to all the students on return basis after that semester. There's a lot of clubs here like dance club, chess club, bihu club( Bordoisila) etc.
Admission
To enroll in B.E. course you should have a good CEE rank. If your coming through lateral entry like me then you should be a diploma holder and have passed JLEE exam with a rank of atleast top 10. In terms of CEE there is reservation of seats for ST, SC students.
Faculty
Faculty to student ratio is overall good. Moreover we got additionally taught by IIT phd scholars too because of their research fellowship. All the faculties are skilled and have in depth knowledge of their field. Some of them have published research papers too.
