Course Curriculum Overview

B. Tech in computer science is not so easy as we think. I have choose this course because I like to more work in the field of computer rather then any other course. The curriculum is nice, the subjects in every sem are similar or related to previous sem so it is easy to understand the language(coding).

Internships Opportunities

Internship provide to the student at Assam Down Town University is good. Companies are " tech mahindra, amazon , flipkart , nestle , indusind bank, and many more. The stipend provide to the student is good.

Placement Experience

Campus placements are good in our college. It starts from 4-5 lpa to 50 lpa. The overall highest package offered during Assam DownTown University placements in recent past stood at inr 12 lpa. The overall placement rate recorded in recent past was around 94 percent.

Fees and Financial Aid

The total course fee is around 3 lakhs something. The scholarships are different for every student, to get the scholarship apportunity there will a aptitude test. Scholarships starts from something 8k to 50k not sure about that.

Campus Life

The overall experience with campus life is awesome. In every year there will be a fest called "attitude fest" of Assam DownTown University. It is about 2-3 day fest, in this fest there will be many events like dancing, singing, cultural events, dj night, and many more.

Hostel Facilities

I m living in PG, so the experience in living PG is normal. The quality of the food is not good but the facility that are being provided is good like water , electricity and many more. Rented rooms and PG are easily available near the university.

Hostel Fee: INR 80000 per year

Admission

The eligibility of the course that I have chosen (B. Tech CSE), if you score 60 percent in your 12 boards in PCM then you are eligible for the course. The application forms are available on the college official website (www.adtu.in).

Faculty

The faculty to student ration is excellent, ensuring personalized attention and interaction. The faculty members posses impressive credentials and employ effective teaching approaches. The approachability of the teachers are very good.

Placement Experience:

Placements at IIT Guwahati are excellent especially in the tech field ,with high placement rates and strong average packages generally Rs 30 lakh per annum. Top companies regularly visit the campus. After completing the course if i do not get placed on campus which is hardly possible i'll look for other off campus placements.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Most of the professors are good here.The college covers the core subjects required for strong foundation in engineering. However the theoretical coverage is good the scope for practical exposure is still required.

Placement Experience:

The placement is quite good in my college. In 7 th semester the placements start and the package goes from 16lpa to 2 cr . About 75 percent student who applied got placed . I want to work in a software firm.

The placement of Assam engineering College is average as compared to the other colleges like iit and not. Aec gives placement around 20-24 lakhs and many company parts in the placement cell and many of the students get their dream job

Placement Experience:

Students normally appear for placements in fourth year with two placement seasons namely from december to january and february to march. Companies include quant companies and tech giants like JPMC, Reliance Industries, WellsFargo,Piramal, Standard Chartered,Texas Instrumentation, walmart, Microsoft, Amazon, Deloitte,Oracle, HCL, Barclays, Tata steel, uber, legato, Mastercard, Nutanix, BPCL, BEL,PWC, Socgen, etc. Almost 80% students get placed every year with the average package ?1,60,000. The highest package was 1.68 crore per annum from the branch of Computer Science.

ASSAM UNIVERSITY SILCHAR , THE GOOD THE BAD AND THE UGLY

Placement Experience:

only fourth year students are eligible for campus placements . the detalis of the visiting compaies are not thte sure but at least 10 stuents are placed each year from every single batch. the higest so far was 20 lpa and it was in amazon , the student who cracked that placement applied it off campus . on campus placement was not more than 10 lpa so far . the percentage of students getting placemnets are less than 50% not because of quality of placement but majority stuents opt for higher studies or goverment jobs rather than direct placement . my paln is to also pursue higher education

5 or 6 semester onwards students are eligible for internships in off campus . They can opt for PPO. There are severe companies like Microsoft, Amazon, Adobe, Flipkart, and some top MNCs . overall campus is perfect to spend 4 years

Charmingly Challenging Champion

Placement Experience:

After the 6th sem placement season starts. The intern season takes place at the end of the 4th sem. The placement of the college is extremely good. The average package of the college is around 21 lakhs. That of CSE is 41 lakhs. Mncs is 35 lakhs etc. Projected package of my branch DSAI is 40 lakhs.
