Course Curriculum Overview
As I am a computer science student, this curriculum made me have more interest regarding the topics of the subject. I chose this course because i always wanted to work in the most developing field and I don't regret joining it. This curriculum prepares me for the real-world applications in various ways. Exams are very frequent and comparitively harder, it helps the students to have a thorough idea of what is being learned and what we should learn.
Placement Experience
The campus placements at federal institute of science and technology are very good as many great companies come here for placements. Students become eligible for placements from the 5th semester onwards. Some of the companies that visited are google, vipro etc. The highest placement is around 22lakh per annum and the average package is around 4 lakhs per annum. Almost 90% of the students get good placements.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee structure goes like 6lakh for 4 years of computer science and engineering. There are other small charges for the extra things. Every type of scholarships are available and students can claim it if they are eligible. FISAT does have a great campus employment rate and they are very good.
Campus Life
I am satisfied with the overall experience of the campus life. They are many technical festival happening all the 4 years of the course. Bharatham which is the main technical fest happens at a gap of 2 years. Sports and extracurricular activities are a good aspect. Every type of sports are encouraged and the college has a college team for it. Many student clubs are present at this college and they coordinate every events and helps the students.
Hostel Facilities
Hostel facility are very good if you could make some exceptions for mess food. The rooms provided are good and clean. Registration process for hostel happens through the online portal of the college. Meal quality are average as they are some days where the food isn't good. The washrooms are also average.
Admission
Admission process is not a very big deal. Eligibility of the course is to get more that 90% in your higher secondary education and score more that the cutoff score at the entrance exams like keam. In my opinion admission procedure should get more fast as they take much more time now. The exams are tough and the students can decide if they are willing to get what they wanted or not
Faculty
The faculty members at Federal institute of science and technology are highly educated and highly qualified. They have a very strong helping mentality. They always stays in touch with the students and help them if they are facing any difficulties in studies and other things. Us students can always ask for help as they are willing to help us in whatever ways they could.
