COLLEGE OF ENGINEERING TRIVANDRUM-everything you need to know

Course curriculum does not depend on the college it's on the University which is KTU...course curriculum is good but compared to previous schemes it is a bit more simple or we can say they have reduced the portions.And another thing is the academic calender kr schedules are tight or busy post Covid so there won't a vacation between semesters

Internship opportunities are very high in CET . CET provides you chances to show your skills to others by giving you Internship opportunities in NITS ,IITS amd other Government sectors. Internship break will be given for completion of internship for students

Placements start after our 6th semester but before that our college provides you with a Placement training of 4 to 5days where you will be taught about various fields of Placement like interviews, GDs,reasoning.... CET is the only college with more companies visiting for Placement and they also provide good packages .

Fees structure is very cheap compared to other NITS,IITS and other private institutions. Here the total fee including tuition fee, exam fee ,...all comes under 8000Rs which is very cheap compared to the education and facilities provided .We are getting good standard education with this fee . Others who are financially backward can avail scholarship like MCM, Egrants etc.

Here in CET we conduct our 3 main fests also known as 3Ds, they are DISHA,DRISHTI & DHWANI. Drishti is our technical fest which is conducted for 3days with almost 100 events or workshops for all students across kerala and other states with a famous personality visiting the college at the last day of fest to make it more wonderful. Dhwani is our Cultural fest which is also for 3days with full enjoyment and events .All 3 days will be super enjoyable with famous influencers as guests for the 3days. Disha is our fest for juniors to shiw their talents as a fresher and cheer them up. Libraries and labs are highly used and students clubs are very active like ISTE , IEEE, ICI,ASCE,NSS,NCC... Sports facilities are very good with a big external ground and also an indoor sports facilities.

Admission is through KEAM exam and to get admission to CET you should score a good mark as there is a huge competition to get admission into this college as CET is one of the best and oldest Institution in Kerala for engineering.You should have a min rank under150 or 200 for Computer science department and a minimum of under 5000 for other departments .My rank was 2600 and I got admission here in Civil department in my 3rd allotment as it shows how much competition it it there. KEAM exam are of medium to high standard questions and you can Crack it easily if you work hard enough. A student preparing for JEE can easily get a good rank below 500 or 1000

Faculties are highly educated most of them from IITs and even from CET. They are very friendly and helps you in anyway possible. In CET we can interact with teachers during class hours or personally in their staff room if necessary.So nothing to worry about teachers
