Best and cheap college with high class faculty

Well, I will say it's a cheap and best college in my view and I feel proud that I am a part of such a lovely university.

The course curriculum is very well organized one. Its one of the best in the whole of India as what to study in which semester has been taken care off pretty well. The syllabus is so good that many of the topics of IIT JAM are being covered over here only. The exam structure is also very good. Semester wise examinations take place. Before the examination, every student is required to fill an online form for the same purpose then only their admit cards are being issued. Yes, it is quite relevant, research-driven and fair. Off course after going through the syllabus one can clear IIT JAM easily and also it is of great help in acquiring a Master's degree.

Mainly in Jadavpur placement occurs of students pursuing engineering. But still placements in mathematics department do take place but it is quite less like 2 or 3 people get the placement of around 40k. Basically, students from our department continue their study to MSc and then to Ph.D. if possible. After pursuing MSc placement definitely increases but student prefer clearing NET and then doing Ph.D. and to work as a professor. Many of the professors from our department are alumni of Jadavpur itself. Same goes for an internship as well. No, I haven't availed any till date

Events, fests etc are part and parcel of Jadavpur. Almost every such great events are organized like ibtida etc. Also, a reunion of students happens almost every year where many alumni are invited to their alma mater for a get-together. Departmental picnic, freshers, farewell also takes place at right times. Also, students get many types of scholarship programs like SHE etc. Inter-department sports tournament takes place from time to time. Sanskriti 2k19 is going to be held from 6th of March.

The fee structure for my course is nominal. At the time of admission, we are required to pay RS 1860 which includes one-year fees as well. For the second and third year, the fee is around 1500. During semester exams students are required to pay a mere sum of RS 44 as examination fees.

Yes, I have opted for one scholarship called SHE. This is a central government scheme which provides eligible student 60k per year till post graduation. Top 1% of students from different types of boards like CBSE, is, Jharkhand board, Bengal board etc are given this scholarship. Nearly 12k students from all over India are being selected. Also for students belonging to a lower economic class are offered a various scholarship of the state government and also their entire education fee of the university gets exempted

Campus life is probably one of the best all over India. Green Zone, pools, OAT etc make it a beautiful place. The gender ratio is good but not in the case of my department. In my department, the ratio is 7:3 which is not good at all. Labs, sports, competitions etc are part and parcel of the university. These things are very good and provide a chance for students to showcase their skills.

Alumni network is superb. There is s WhatsApp group were alumni, seniors, juniors, teachers all are added. This helps in solving any question from anywhere. Also, every year reunion is being organized in order to meet and greet with our senior and teachers who are now working in foreign or in our country so that we can learn a lot from their experience.

It is a well-known college in northeastern sides. I hail from Jharkhand while this college is in Kolkata, West Bengal. Despite that, I aspire to take admission there as it is a cheap and reputed college. So I fill up the form online along with my twelve marks which were nearly 95%. So in the list of students who were called for admission, my name was also there. So I went to Kolkata and completed all the verification process and thus by submitting a mere amount of Rs 1860 (fee for 1 year including admission) my admission process got completed

Well, it's open to everyone. Any doubts, any queries and you can easily go to the concerned faculty and ask for help. They will do the needful straightaway. This creates a positive atmosphere as students no longer have to think about how their queries will be solved.
