- The seniors are very helpful and positive. There is no ragging or anything like that. The people generally keep to themselves but are also very open to working together. The professors are also helpful and cooperative.
- The IT department has the best faculty who are open to suggestions and are quite helpful. They guide us very well and are always there for us
- The placement scenarios are more less decent. Although the department plays an important role. The CS and IT department are the best in this regard
Dislikes
- Being under makaut, we have to deal with many irregularities because of that particular University
- Some of the professors aren't always open feedback or explaining the same concept twice
- The lab equipment aren't always up to the mark
Course Curriculum Overview
IT is quite relevant and comprehensive course especially after the syllabus update two years back. Although along with the syllabus you also have to learn tech stacks and build up skills to keep you to date with the market . We have four CA exams of 20 marks each , first one of assignment, so is the second and third one is a written exam, while the fourth one is of MCQ at makauts website. Then we have two semesters each year and the total course is of four years
Placement Experience
The placement scenario is mention only as well as quite decent there are mass recruit is like TCS Accenture who give out packages from 3.5 to 5 TCS digital also gives a packages of 7 lpf many new startups also recruit from the campus and provide up to 10 to 12 lakh salary many students also apply for campus placement in many major companies but so the highest packages go up to 42 lakh but that is a result of the student individual effort as that is of an of compass placement. Decent but you do have to learn skills and maintain a decent GPA to get placed
Fees and Financial Aid
Feels structure for my year was of 5.5 lakh lakh. Altho this year it has increased up to 6.5 lakh. there are the scholarship called Swami Vivekananda scholarship for that you have to maintain us CGPA average of 7.5 or 65% in all the semester scholarship is of 30000 each year. College does encourage internships but there are there and aren't as many opportunities please while the placement scenario squirt decent mostly there are mass recruiters like Accenture TCS Wipro which provide a package up to 3.3 to 500 lacs there are also new startups that come and have a package of 10 lakhs or 12 lacs.
Campus Life
The campus life here is overall quite seedin please come everyone keeps to the mosquito themselves but also or always open to working or collaborating together on projects there are many clubs like peanuts which is the club Edison which is the entrepreneurship club and eco cultural which is mostly the cultural community which is the photographic.
Admission
College has admission based on WBJEE also 20% that is approximately 8 seats for department is also taken from JEE cut off for CS department is 6000 in webgen for IT department is 23000 in 2022 then I will see department just like any other college in webg there is a 90% reservation for students from students of West Bengal WBJEE offers every year
Faculty
Most of the faculties of respective departments are always helpful to the students. ITs HOD is very helpful and always available for guidance. Electrical department teachers most of the times give out poor marks to the students of IT and CS department. But mostly the faculties from respective departments are approachable and helpful

I liked the overall environment of NSEC better. Nsec had much of a better campus, placements etc.
