- The infrastructure of the college is really good. One of the main attractions of our college is its infrastructure.
- About the faculties, most of them are really good and I like them.
- We have a Placement Cell in our institute. A lot of companies used to hire many students from our college.
Dislikes
- They don't give much importance to students’ soft skills like arts, sports, etc. They don't really promote these skills of students
Course Curriculum Overview
The course duration is 4 years which is 8 semesters. The first 2 semesters is common for all the branches. 3rd semester onwards we will be focusing on our main subjects. As a computer science student I can tell that the current syllabus is outdated. They are only teaching basic c and java programming language. A little DBMS and operating systems and all. There is no seperate course for cyber security, AI and ML, etc
Internships Opportunities
The college don't directly provides internships. We have to do internships our own. We can do any kind of internships. The college only provides a 1 or 2 days training class in a specific topic for which either they will bring an external speaker or any professor from the respected department will take the class. Most of the companies will provide internship to students after they complete their 2nd year
Placement Experience
From the end of 6th semester onwards the placements starts for all departments in our college except CE and EEE. Many companies come to our college for recruiting students into their companies. Some of the known companies that come to our college is TCS,Wipro,Soti, Sutherland etc. The average package is 3 lakhs per annum. 90% of the students of CS department where placed last year
Fees and Financial Aid
I have to pay 85000 per year inorder to study CSE. There will be difference in the fee structure according to the courses. In This 85000, 75000 is the tution fee and 10000 for other additional courses. We have to pay extra fee for many other things. Each semester we have to pay University exam registration fee, fee for practical records and many other kinds of fee. Scholarships are available that I don't know in detail.
Campus Life
The main festivals or events that are celebrated in our college is onam and Christmas. It will be a grand celebration and everyone can enjoy a lot. Some times we also get tech fest which will be mostly in the even semester. Other events that are conducted in our college is arts day and sports day. There are many clubs and organizations in our college like IEEE,IEDC,NSS,Media cell etc.
Admission
Eligibility to enter the CSE course is that we must have 80% in 12th board physics, chemistry and maths exams. And also we should pass either KEAM or JEE in order to enroll into the course. There are NRI seats for which we have to pay 3 lakhs extra. In NRI seats the above mentioned conditions don't apply
Faculty
About the faculties, most of them are really good and I like them. But there are some faculties who are not that good. Internal marks will be properly given. Most of the faculty members are very friendly and we can share anything with them as if we are friends. All the faculties are Ph.D graduates or are pursuing Ph.D. About the teaching skills; I will give overall of 8/10. We can freely ask any doubts to them.
