Electronics and communication is a very vast and very interesting course. I chose this course anly because I am very much interested in chips and processors. ECE also have good placement opportunities,

Intership opportunities are good here. You can do interships from third semester itself. You can do internshups in colleges like IIT Delhi and IIT Bombay. Many companies also provide internships with not much stipend but like 5000 6000 pm.

You can apply for placements in the 4th year. Placements are good here. Comapanies like Oracale visits here in winter. In ECE the median CTC is around 9 lakh pa. The highest package received was like 42 lakh something.

2023 Free structure is as follows: for income > 5 lakh it is 73000 per year except mess and hosetel for income between 1 and 5 lakh it is 31333 per year except mess and hostel for income less than 1 lakh it is 10500 per year except mess and hostel for pwd candidates tuition fees is zero You will also get many other scholarships

The overall campus life is good. You'll enjoy living here. The cultural fest had also been held this year (2023). There are many clubs here. The classrooms here are equipped with smart boards projectors etc. Also the extracurricular activities have improved a lot from 2023. Inter branch crickt tournament is also being held.

There are 3 hostels for the first year Jhelum extension, Manasbal and Mansar. There are typically 3 to 6 students in each room. Also you'll get common bathrooms and washrooms in Manasbal and Mansar but in jhelum extension you'll get attached bathroom. Registration for the hostel is done at the time of admission itself. Menu is not good as expected.

Admission was smooth. You'll need documents such as your 12th and 10th marksheet, your income certificat e(for any fee waiver scheme), passport size photos, admission form (which you'll get on your e-mail), provisional seat allotment letter (josaa will provide you at the end of counselling), medical certificate signed from any registered medical practitioner.

I'm in the first year and we're a batch of 102 students. Professors are good here. You can interactive with them easily and also they are very helpful. Especially in our batch the professors are very qualified. They used to teach in like IITK, IISC Banglore etc.
