the college fests are one of the most awaited things. the campus has a lot of fests which u can participate and enjoy

the college laboratory for my department was not good.
the crriculum is actually rushed as u only have 3-4 months per semester.

The course curriculum has a reall wide range on the area it actually covers as biotechnology and biochemical engineering is a really vast area of education. The curriculm almost covers every aspect but as mentioned above everything is rushed so grasping may get a bit har. But if u are okay with it then it s perfect

Class Size: 60Course Fees: INR 35000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees is 35k plus misc for merit seats and 65k plus misc for management seats which is actually pretty affordable comparing to the other colleges. misc fees include comuter fees books fee examination fee and fest fee which sums upto less than 15k.Lot of government scholarships accoring to the person and the merit is available.

Campus Life

This college has a lot of clubs. Every passion and skills has a place in one of these clubs and also there are a lot of events which helps in portraying their non academic skills. the annal coollege fst CULT A WAY is always the best memory for every SCTian. FOR biotechnology there is only one core company for placement rest are either it companies or rdtech companies. For other branches it differs significantly.

Admission

i wrote my keam exam and badged a rank of 20k. the cutoffs for branches like computer science,artificial intelligence and electronics is less than 8k . there are manaement seats available. u can get admission easily if u have a decent score.NB:Both merit and management seats are alloted in respect of ur keam score

Faculty

The facultiees for my department were actually really helpful and friendly.Theyll help u with your academics the best they can. Theyllgive attention to the students who have low grasping capacity and would also clear doubts as muchh as u want.

Placement Experience:

we are eligible for placement from the 7th sem. Many famous and small compines vist our college. Infosys, WIPRO, TCS vist our college. But the big companies take only few student. Highest package was 1,00,000. And the average package is around 4,00,000. Almost all students gets placed from the campus .

My Experience at NIT Calicut

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rate the EEE course curriculum around 8-8.5 /10 in terms of relevance.The curriculum provides strong fundamentals in core electrical engineering subjects and prepares students well for core jobs and higher studies.The course curriculum was revised in 2023, and our batch is the 1st batch under the new curriculum. however, there are still limited coding ,AI and data science subjects in EEE ,which could be improved. Exams are conducted times per semester and are generally moderately difficult.

I choose this college because it has vibrant campus life and freedom.It also has good placement records,good pass percentage. I also took due to distance advantage.This college also has good faculty, teaching. Although the campus is small, the infrastructure is well maintained. It has well structured labs.I also looked for cet, Trivandrum but I didn't get it because of my keam rank. The exam accepted for the course is keam and most of the students prefer it. A look inside Sct - Campus life, Academics and more

The main reason I chose this college was because this as under the Government of Kerala. It is held jointly by both government and ksrtc. This the standard of teachers will be better than other private colleges and campus life would be better as well. I have gotten confirmed admission from Amritha University and FISAT. I chose Sct because of the above given reason and also because of its location in trivandrum. I had applied to both Cet and Gect but I didn't pass the cutoff. The admission price for SCTCE is through KEAM which is held by the government of Kerala.
