Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is well updated and useful for the students. They include real life issues and solutions which is related with the topics we study. The teaching methods are quite good with the help of the projector screens and labs . The series exams also help us in revising the curriculum frequently.
Internships Opportunities
Internship opportunities are not rarer in our college. The faculties are very supportive in getting an internship. A lot of my seniors got internships in organisations including the Cochin Harbour, The Indian Railways , Keltron etc . Mechanical engineering student can easily get internship in KSRTC as it is a collage under their department .
Placement Experience
The college is good for placements and recruitment drives . Nearly 90-95% of students get placed annually. The placement start from semester 7, but a lot of students got placement offers even in Semester 3 with the help of some exams .
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee structure is normal for a aided government college. There are two types of fees , merit fees and management fees . Management fees is more than merit fees . Scholarships are approved , but takes some time sometimes. Financial aids like fee waivers are available for students who are eligible. No unnecessary fees are remitted for the college.
Campus Life
Sree Chitra Thirunal College of Engineering Pappanamcode is known also for its social activities. They also give importance to a lot of extracurricular activities like dancing, singing , painting etc . The annual college fest Cult a Way is famous among colleges in Kerala , can be termed as the biggest college fest in Kerala . Lot of students run institutions, clubs and associations are also present in our college .
Admission
The admission process to this college was through KEAM CEE allotment. It happened in the month of August with 3 phase normal allotment and one spot allotment. The cutoff for ECE under merit was under 10000 and management cutoff was under 20000 Reservations like EWS ,SC/ST , OBC can be availed.
Faculty
The faculties present in the college are well experienced and a lot of them have Ph.D qualification. A lot of them have published research papers and books on their specialization. They are very friendly with the students and are always cheerful and helpful in studies . The right student to teacher ratio also help in teachers to look after each student. Even though some teachers are serious in their attitude, a lot of them quickly blend with the class during studies . They assist in making notes and also provide the needed help to assignments and projects.
