Course Curriculum Overview

5

Teaching curriculum of this college is well planned. Every year is divided into blocks and after completion of each block's syllabus, there is a sessional exam. Difficulty level of the paper is moderate. Paper is mainly on case based scenario and you have to answer it will your knowledge. That's the best part of the paper. So in our hospital postings we also see different types of cases and by applying our theoretical knowledge, we have to diagnose the case. Postings are really important and in this college, it has its hospital names kasturba hospital, manipal. Patient flow is very good. you can different types of cases in the OPD and wards that boost your theoretical learning. In point of view of practical aspect, our practical schedule is also well arranged and we really do our experiment and every facility is already being provided by the college. That is very good.

Internships Opportunities

5

In MBBS, after 4 and a half year of studies, we have 1 year of rotatory internship in our kasturba hospital and we are paid stipend for it. It's 33000-35000 per month for one year. In internship students are posted in different department and there they have to work accordingly.

Fees and Financial Aid

Tuition fee is 17,70000 per year for 4 Installments. Scholarship is also awarded for top ranked students evrery year. If we see total cost of my education it's around 80L . But it's really worth it. In internship of 1 year, students are given very decent stipend that is very high in respect to other medical colleges of our country.

Campus Life

5

Campus life is marvelous. There alot of college events that is happening throughout year. Invictus and verve is the main college fest. Vedam is the educational fest of this college. There are a diverse array of clubs where students can glorify their talent from educational clubs to the cultural clubs too. Sports facilities are really world class with a sport complex nemed Marena which is having all the sport under one roof. College promote sports alot with studies. College is having it's own world class library with every types of books and jounals. Life is really fantastic in every aspect.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

Hostel is well furnished with alot of options available, Hostel is not costly. Mess food is good with different menu on different days. There is a special menu in the month end that we enjoy alot. There is also special foods provided every week according to the menu.

Admission

To take admission in MBBS course in KMC manipal, student must qualify NEET exam and should have scored marks more than 550/720 . Then it's easy to take admission in this college. After NEET exam, you have to apply for All india counselling and in it for Deemed college section. Because KMC comes under MAHE that is a deemed university. Reservation benefit is not available for this counseling. NEET exam is a highly competitive exam where lakhs of students fight for thousands of seats so it's a touch exam.

Faculty

5

In this college, teachers are highly qualified most of them are doctors. Interaction with teacher is good. We are having small group teaching where we can directly interact with our teachers and they clear our doubts as well. Every student has its individual mentors and they are our professors. They help in our studies as well as in other problems in college. Teachers are very good and they help every student in the hour of need. They are easily approachable . They all have their cabins in their respective departments where any one can go and meet them.

Course Curriculum Overview:

curriculum is designed to be highly relevant and comprehensive for modern medical practice.Early Clinical Exposure is One of the strongest aspects of the curriculum is introducing students to patients in their very second year. The final year of the curriculum—the Compulsory Rotatory Residential Internship (CRRI) is effective it prepares students for the high-pressure environment of Indian healthcare, making them very capable of handling emergencies and outpatient departments (OPD ). Students feel that lectures are still too focused on passive PowerPoint presentations.Rigorous schedule, integrating "Life Skills" or "Stress Management" modules more formally into the foundation course would be helpful. The university exams (RGUHS) are generally fair but require a very high level of descriptive writing and practical precision.
