Likes

Good infrastructure, good faculties and smart classrooms
Course curriculum is maintained well and regular exams are being taken
Sports facility available,various clubs for extracurriculum

Dislikes

Placement is not upto the mark as the college is new but it is improving
No proper hostel accomodation for btech students
Course fee is little more for a govt college

Course Curriculum Overview

Course curriculum was good.they should improve in terms of placement and call some multinational companies to attract more students. The frequency of exam is little high as they take minimum 2 exams for every subject

Fees and Financial Aid

There is no such fee increase policy but in the last 2 years they have increased the fee a little .Scholarships are available as per the central and state govt. Campus employment is good.last year cognizant took some of the students

Campus Life

Name of annual tech fest is udhvab and it is great actually but the cultural fest is not upto the mark.clubs for all the extracurriculum activites is available like chess club,e sports club,music club ,sports club etc..

Admission

Eligibility of the course is you have to pass the class 12 exam having PCM with a minimum of 60 percent from a recognised board and have to qualify the Assam ece exam.reservation is also available as per the law

Faculty

Faculty to student ratio is good and every teacher monitor every student very well .all the faculties are qualified and most of them pursued their phds from iits and top institutes and have a good experience in teaching

"IIT GUWAHATI : Perfect blend of Strong Academics, Great Placements and Vibrant Campus Life"

Placement Experience:

Placements at IIT Guwahati are excellent especially in the tech field ,with high placement rates and strong average packages generally Rs 30 lakh per annum. Top companies regularly visit the campus. After completing the course if i do not get placed on campus which is hardly possible i'll look for other off campus placements.

A calm and disciplined campus life at JIST

Course Curriculum Overview:

Most of the professors are good here.The college covers the core subjects required for strong foundation in engineering. However the theoretical coverage is good the scope for practical exposure is still required.

Haah here the faculty are splendid since they are all alumini of iit or nits . And we get college mail.in this mail will get notification about classes and more activities like hackathon or some technical events.

Placement Experience:

The placement is quite good in my college. In 7 th semester the placements start and the package goes from 16lpa to 2 cr . About 75 percent student who applied got placed . I want to work in a software firm.

The placement of Assam engineering College is average as compared to the other colleges like iit and not. Aec gives placement around 20-24 lakhs and many company parts in the placement cell and many of the students get their dream job

Placement Experience:

Students normally appear for placements in fourth year with two placement seasons namely from december to january and february to march. Companies include quant companies and tech giants like JPMC, Reliance Industries, WellsFargo,Piramal, Standard Chartered,Texas Instrumentation, walmart, Microsoft, Amazon, Deloitte,Oracle, HCL, Barclays, Tata steel, uber, legato, Mastercard, Nutanix, BPCL, BEL,PWC, Socgen, etc. Almost 80% students get placed every year with the average package ?1,60,000. The highest package was 1.68 crore per annum from the branch of Computer Science.

ASSAM UNIVERSITY SILCHAR , THE GOOD THE BAD AND THE UGLY

Placement Experience:

only fourth year students are eligible for campus placements . the detalis of the visiting compaies are not thte sure but at least 10 stuents are placed each year from every single batch. the higest so far was 20 lpa and it was in amazon , the student who cracked that placement applied it off campus . on campus placement was not more than 10 lpa so far . the percentage of students getting placemnets are less than 50% not because of quality of placement but majority stuents opt for higher studies or goverment jobs rather than direct placement . my paln is to also pursue higher education

Amazing life in nit Silchar

Placement Experience:

5 or 6 semester onwards students are eligible for internships in off campus . They can opt for PPO. There are severe companies like Microsoft, Amazon, Adobe, Flipkart, and some top MNCs . overall campus is perfect to spend 4 years

Charmingly Challenging Champion

Placement Experience:

After the 6th sem placement season starts. The intern season takes place at the end of the 4th sem. The placement of the college is extremely good. The average package of the college is around 21 lakhs. That of CSE is 41 lakhs. Mncs is 35 lakhs etc. Projected package of my branch DSAI is 40 lakhs.

I got in order collages but I choose gauhati university for better opportunities and this provides 5 years integrated course which is much more beneficial then 4 years BA course .
