Course Curriculum Overview

Getting enrolled into this college was a dream for me. Since childhood I've heard about this college, it's achievements ,etc. All these made me chose this course. Teaching method is quite good Exams are conducted based on the academic calendar of the particular session

Class Size: 120Course Fees: INR 20000 per year

Internships Opportunities

Don't know much about internships but our college has links with lots of companies which provides internship to the students of our college Lots of internship opportunities are there for the students

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees is not much high as compared to other government institutions providing the same course A few scholarships are also available for the poor students Currently I haven't undertaken any responsibilities of the college

Campus Life

The name of the annual cultural festival is Pyrokinesis The name of the annual technical fest is Udbhavanam They are held simultaneously in the month of Feb-March The events are held for 4 days College has lots of clubs,cells for the students

Hostel Facilities

At present there are 8 boys' hostel and only one girls' hostel There is a need for increasing the number of girls' hostel Hostels are well furnished They provide 24 hour Wifi connectivity Mess is properly functional

Hostel Fee: INR 30000 per year

Admission

Students with minimum 60% in 10+2 are eligible Should have physics, chemistry and maths Admission is based on the merit Student have to score decent marks in Combined Entrance Examination conducted by the ASTU After that student should apply for the counseling

Faculty

It has quite descent faculty-to- student ratio Our faculties are well educated They all have received their degrees from prominent institutions within or outside India They try to make us understand each topic in detail

Placement Experience:

Placements at IIT Guwahati are excellent especially in the tech field ,with high placement rates and strong average packages generally Rs 30 lakh per annum. Top companies regularly visit the campus. After completing the course if i do not get placed on campus which is hardly possible i'll look for other off campus placements.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Most of the professors are good here.The college covers the core subjects required for strong foundation in engineering. However the theoretical coverage is good the scope for practical exposure is still required.

Placement Experience:

The placement is quite good in my college. In 7 th semester the placements start and the package goes from 16lpa to 2 cr . About 75 percent student who applied got placed . I want to work in a software firm.

The placement of Assam engineering College is average as compared to the other colleges like iit and not. Aec gives placement around 20-24 lakhs and many company parts in the placement cell and many of the students get their dream job

Placement Experience:

Students normally appear for placements in fourth year with two placement seasons namely from december to january and february to march. Companies include quant companies and tech giants like JPMC, Reliance Industries, WellsFargo,Piramal, Standard Chartered,Texas Instrumentation, walmart, Microsoft, Amazon, Deloitte,Oracle, HCL, Barclays, Tata steel, uber, legato, Mastercard, Nutanix, BPCL, BEL,PWC, Socgen, etc. Almost 80% students get placed every year with the average package ?1,60,000. The highest package was 1.68 crore per annum from the branch of Computer Science.

ASSAM UNIVERSITY SILCHAR , THE GOOD THE BAD AND THE UGLY

Placement Experience:

only fourth year students are eligible for campus placements . the detalis of the visiting compaies are not thte sure but at least 10 stuents are placed each year from every single batch. the higest so far was 20 lpa and it was in amazon , the student who cracked that placement applied it off campus . on campus placement was not more than 10 lpa so far . the percentage of students getting placemnets are less than 50% not because of quality of placement but majority stuents opt for higher studies or goverment jobs rather than direct placement . my paln is to also pursue higher education

5 or 6 semester onwards students are eligible for internships in off campus . They can opt for PPO. There are severe companies like Microsoft, Amazon, Adobe, Flipkart, and some top MNCs . overall campus is perfect to spend 4 years

Charmingly Challenging Champion

Placement Experience:

After the 6th sem placement season starts. The intern season takes place at the end of the 4th sem. The placement of the college is extremely good. The average package of the college is around 21 lakhs. That of CSE is 41 lakhs. Mncs is 35 lakhs etc. Projected package of my branch DSAI is 40 lakhs.
