Its a self financing college and give importance to studies only
Extra curricular activities are very rare
Workload gives students stress. At the last moment they tell to complete the records, reports etc

Course Curriculum Overview

I studied computer science in 12th standard. But i have no interest in it. So i choose mechanical engineering in btech. Its a good course and offers many knowledge to students. I thas great scope. The gap between exams is too short so studying is difficult

Class Size: 38Course Fees: INR 75000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

Many scholarships are available for students. Egrants is good scholarship. Also there is annual tution fee wavier. Fee structure of college is 75000 except exam fees. There are 50000 and 25000 scholarship schemes for students

Campus Life

During 2022, a cultural fest called dhanak is conducted. It was an amazing experience . At 2023,combination of tech and cultural fest called astral is conducted in college. At 2024,another cultural fest called prayag is conducted

Admission

Students have to write keam exam for btech qualification in merit seats. Students who failed in keam can get admission through management quota and students who do not write keam can get admission through nri quota

Faculty

Faculties are well qualified. Most of them have PHD. They are very sincere towards students. They have vast knowledge on their research area. They always find time to clear doubts of students. We have no hesistation to ask doubts and they always value our doubts if it is too small

OUR COLLEGE LIFE

Placement Experience:

we are eligible for placement from the 7th sem. Many famous and small compines vist our college. Infosys, WIPRO, TCS vist our college. But the big companies take only few student. Highest package was 1,00,000. And the average package is around 4,00,000. Almost all students gets placed from the campus .

My Experience at NIT Calicut

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rate the EEE course curriculum around 8-8.5 /10 in terms of relevance.The curriculum provides strong fundamentals in core electrical engineering subjects and prepares students well for core jobs and higher studies.The course curriculum was revised in 2023, and our batch is the 1st batch under the new curriculum. however, there are still limited coding ,AI and data science subjects in EEE ,which could be improved. Exams are conducted times per semester and are generally moderately difficult.

Is engineering here worth it?

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible from 7th semester to sit for interviews. The pod.ai app helps us in making the resume and calculating a cgpa to appear for the intwrviews. The pod.ai registration fees is 500?. Companies such as nissan,infosys,commandtech,bimlabs,gulfasia etc has visited . And the highest package was 11 LPA and lowest was 3 LPA

If you want to be in a controlled environment, focus on academics, make use of some good placement opportunities, and get somewhere career-wise I would be suggesting Amrita University.

I preferred this college because it was closer to my home and my cousin studied there. I got admission through state merit. I got this college on the third allotment, on both the other allotment i got placed but i was looking forward to this college so i rejected them both. To get eligibility to my college i need a minimum of 60 percent on my PCM subjects. KEAM exam which is kerala state entrance exam, you have to pass it inorder to apply for the colleges of your preference. Almost every student i know have written the keam exam and almost everyon is in merit seat. Merit seat has a cut off of 25000 from the management fee which is 100000 and merit fee will be 75000...Read More
