- Minimum 75 percentage attendance policy allows us to get into only the necessary classes
- A Basketball and badminton ground which facilitates after-college games
- Nice ambiance with greenery which gives a cooler vibe
Dislikes
- Most of the teaching faculty have a lackadaisical approach
- The uncleanliness of the washrooms which causes a sticky smell
- Lack of space in college campus and lack of a football ground
Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculum is pretty outdated. I wouldn't suggest any student to come to my college if they depend on the college academics to learn the necessary skills like coding. Exams are fairly easy and can be studied within a week of time.
Placement Experience
For the last few years the placement has been pretty bad. Last year, the highest on campus package was around 7 LPA. Although our college has a history of getting placements from Amazon, such companies has not come in years. The companies that usually come for placement are TCS, Tata Elxsi and some startups namely. My plan after the degree is to get a off campus placement inot a high paying software developer position
Fees and Financial Aid
Tuition fee remains same throughout the year. It doesn't change. Education for management seats cost around 90k per year and for merit seats the yearly fee is around 50k. There are some scholarships available for the reservation classes
Campus Life
We have two college fest in a year. The technical fest and the cultural fest. The cultural fest, Cult A Way is one of the biggest fests happening in Trivandrum. With a lot of sponsors we usually conduct the event lavishly. The college library is quite good with a lot of sources to refer. The only technical provision in our class are blackboards and projectors.
Admission
I had to go to the college in person for the admission procedure. To get into this college you have to write the KEAM (Kerala Engineering And Medicine) Kerala Entrance exam. The cutoff rank for the merit seat for Btech CSE was around 4500. For management seat the cutoff was around 9000. A few students got admission with lower ranks because of NRI quota or KSRTC quota. If you have reservation your chances of getting into the college are better.
Faculty
Minimum 1 faculty per class. The faculty doesn't teach very well and they don't give much of an individual attention to the students. We do interact with teachers at times but it's not ways study based interaction.
