College is full of opportunities which allows students to devolop their academic and extracurricular activities
The college conducts mainly 2 fests which are the most renowned fest conducted at big budget comprising of different technical and non technical programs
Placements of this college are the best in the state of kerala having an avg package of 8 lacks and the highest of 30-40 lpa

Dislikes

teachers not at par with the reputation,they are well qualified but lakhs interest in teaching

Course Curriculum Overview

The curriculum is that of kerala technical university,the curriculum is certainly well balanced comprising of the subjects that are necessary for the future jobs.But the time gap is less,the sem that should completed in 6 months is being completed at the end of third month.It seems a little fast

Placements are very good.Most of the larger companies like google, amazon, intel, nvidia, texas instruments.schnider etc comes to this college to select their future employees.Avg package around 8 lacks and highest around 30 lpa

The total tution fees per year is around 10k.Its the college that takes the least fees in the state.The maximum fees can go upto 15k including all the expences per year. Different scholarships are also available here like egrants,siemens etc

Campus Life

The campus is clean and its very greenery. Sports facilities like football, basketball, cricket, badminton, and almost every sports facilities are available The gym is also available for health freaks Clubs play an important path more than 50 active clubs are present at CET comprises of both technical as well as non technical Two large scale fest are conducted around an year

The admission to this college is done based on the rank secured by the student in kerala engineering entrance examination. Since this college is the most sort after against the students the students require high ranks to get into this college. For Computer science: below 500 for Electronics and communication:Below 1000 For Electronics and electrical: Below 1700

Placement Experience:

we are eligible for placement from the 7th sem. Many famous and small compines vist our college. Infosys, WIPRO, TCS vist our college. But the big companies take only few student. Highest package was 1,00,000. And the average package is around 4,00,000. Almost all students gets placed from the campus .

My Experience at NIT Calicut

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rate the EEE course curriculum around 8-8.5 /10 in terms of relevance.The curriculum provides strong fundamentals in core electrical engineering subjects and prepares students well for core jobs and higher studies.The course curriculum was revised in 2023, and our batch is the 1st batch under the new curriculum. however, there are still limited coding ,AI and data science subjects in EEE ,which could be improved. Exams are conducted times per semester and are generally moderately difficult.

Life at CET

This college is the best government college in Kerala. It has been consistently first in KIRF ranking. It has very cheap fees. The campus is very beautiful and spacious (about 200 acres). My best choice of colleges very IITs and NITs like most people. I couldn't crack JEE. I only applied to this college because I had very high ranking in KEAM exam and was confident of acceptance. KEAM exam is a lot easier to crack than JEE. It has basic higher secondary school syllabus. To get my course you would have to be around 700th rank. To get other courses in my college you can have rank as low as 20k....Read More
