Likes

The mechanical department was very good.
The college is very good if u want a good study opportunity.
The teachers were very friendly and the examination was also very good.

Dislikes

The college fest was a total waste. Students doesn't have a say in anything.
The management is not at all good. The voice of students doesn't matter in the college
Overall the college is like a strict school

Course Curriculum Overview

This college is autonomous. The first years that is the 2023 batch dont have anything to study their final exams are for 60 marks. Their portions are also very smal compared to their seniors. That according to me is high partiality.

Class Size: 51Course Fees: INR 85000 per year

Internships Opportunities

Internship should be done once in the whole course for which u get activity points. The college arranged internship for us. Students can also go to other internship. The catch is that it should be atleast 7 days and there should be permission from the college

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees is 85,000 rs for a year which not that high actually providing this college has all the facilities needed for a college. There are scholarships available and financial aid is also given by the banks.... majority of the banks. Employment opportunities is actually good in this college given this is a private college

Campus Life

Campus is good. There are sufficient extra curricular activities but their main focus is education. Even the college fest was a waste of time. College doesn't give any support for fest and all. Iv is also lame.

Admission

I was an nri student. The admission was rather simple. When they get the money the student gets admitted. If u are trying for a govt quota its not that hard to get a reservation the govt fees is also same as nri fees.

Faculty

The faculty is well versed in their subjects and they have a good technical know how on their subjects. They are highly skilled and have great qualification most of them even have Phds. The principal is a very good man with good ethics. The department heads are also good and have good qualifications. But some teachers doens't knw how to teach.

Interview Experience

No there wasn't any group discussion, interview or written examination. All u have to do is write KEAM. Also there is nri admission option. There is also management merit for those students who doesn't get into merit quota

Placement Experience:

we are eligible for placement from the 7th sem. Many famous and small compines vist our college. Infosys, WIPRO, TCS vist our college. But the big companies take only few student. Highest package was 1,00,000. And the average package is around 4,00,000. Almost all students gets placed from the campus .

My Experience at NIT Calicut

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rate the EEE course curriculum around 8-8.5 /10 in terms of relevance.The curriculum provides strong fundamentals in core electrical engineering subjects and prepares students well for core jobs and higher studies.The course curriculum was revised in 2023, and our batch is the 1st batch under the new curriculum. however, there are still limited coding ,AI and data science subjects in EEE ,which could be improved. Exams are conducted times per semester and are generally moderately difficult.

Is engineering here worth it?

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible from 7th semester to sit for interviews. The pod.ai app helps us in making the resume and calculating a cgpa to appear for the intwrviews. The pod.ai registration fees is 500?. Companies such as nissan,infosys,commandtech,bimlabs,gulfasia etc has visited . And the highest package was 11 LPA and lowest was 3 LPA

I had applied for saitgaits,amal jyothi and cet. Considering cet,the fee and placements are high but the discipline and structured way is lacking.Now considering saintgaits and amal jyothi,there are more opportunities in mbcet to explore.. mbcet is also in the town and easily approachable via public transport.mbcet has a disciplined approach to studies.comparing the hostels too mbcet has one of the best hostels. I was rejected in cet for cs dept as i didnt aquire the required rank..i was accepted in both others but decided to join mbcet due to its status in society.
