- The beauty of campus is really appreciable,and in campus there are 23 lakes,and campus area is 625 acres .There is need improvement in infrastructure of campus ,classes should me maintained and and food quality should also need to be improved.
- Campus Life is really beautiful,and beauty of campus is really good and seniors are very helpful and social interaction between students are very good.
- Professor are highly qualified generally they have done their graduation from IISC ,IITs colleges and theirs teaching methods are very good and they clear every doubts if we have and they are also very helpful in giving guidance and right directions
Dislikes
- Mess food quality of hostels.Room space is quite small.
- Hostel maintenances in not so good and many restrictions are also there.
- There is big problem of connectivity, it is a big problem just for going to city we have to travel lot of distance and really it is one of big problem.
Course Curriculum Overview
. Mechanical branch of NIT SILCHAR is very good comparison to other NIT's in terms of placement and other aspects also . . Course structure is designed like that which can also be useful in future also and developing well mindset also. . Course curriculum of NIT SILCHAR is quite based on old structure which is very tough to handle.it should be improved . .In one year there are 2 semester exam are held .In btw this many minor test and class test are held.
Internships Opportunities
For giving internship to the students many top companies come in campus for hiring students like Google,, Microsoft, Accenture, phone pay and many more. These companies give internship based on performance of students and projects they have done in college and also they provide stipend to the students for doing that internship.
Placement Experience
From 3rd year students can apply for internship and get PPO from companies. Google, Microsoft, Accenture, Samsung like all these top companies every year visit in campus for hiring of students and they give very good package to the students. Highest package is 1.66cr from CSE branch and lowest package is 7 lpa from civil branch. My plan is to get placement in Google company and work hard .
Fees and Financial Aid
10100 rs tution fees for 1 semester for OBC category students and 22500 rs for mess hostel fees. Total fees for 1 semester is 32500 rs for 1 semester. Many government scholarship are there which can be easily can be available to the students. In many events students can participate and earn certificates and skills in that field.
Campus Life
Incandesence is the largest and most popular fest of our college it's occur generally in month of January -february ,Posua is cultural fest ,and Technoesis is also a fest of our college. All books are easily available in library related to course and all that. Digital classroom are also there well maintained with ac ,smart screen facilities are there Extracurricular activities are also there and there are all sports facilities are available. Many clubs are run by the students like gyansagar ,advay and many more .
Hostel Facilities
In first year classes facilities are normal .Classes runs in old gallery but from 2nd year classes are held in new gallery ac facilities are available in that building. Mess food quality is not so good . During admission mess fees should need to be paid and for 1 semester 22500 rs are need to be paid .
Admission
For getting admission in this college students need to give jee mains exam and needs to be qualified for getting admission in that college. Jee mains application form should need to fill, application cost approximately 1000rs and registration form comes near about in October to December. Reservation are applicable to the category students.state quota is also applicable. Jee mains exam is quite tough exam for that there need to be proper guidance and mentorship for cracking it. DV process is quite lengthy it should need to be improved.
Faculty
.For every subject there is qualified faculty are there's and with capacity of students teachers ratio is good. .The teaching methods of faculties are very good and theirs way of teaching are good and they are really helpful in making students life . . Interaction between teacher and student are very good , students can easily approach to teachers if they have any doubts.
