- There's nothing much to dislike other than if you don't like bengli food.
Course Curriculum Overview
Course curriculum is well designed for comprehensive knowledge in the concerned field. There are also several options for taking courses of interest in other departments if you are interested. Two major exams, midsem and endsem along with some minor class test, assignment.
Internships Opportunities
IIT KHARAGPUR provides internship opportunities as companies come to campus and offer internship for different roles, they conduct their assessment and interviews for selection. Opportunities are also available off campus if one has earned sufficient skills it is very easy to get an intern.
Placement Experience
Well if you are skilled, the chances of placements are among highest compared to any other institute. Highest placement ranges in 1-2 crores while it also lowers upto 12-15 lakh per annum. Chances are fairly good you'd be placed if registered.
Fees and Financial Aid
The tution fee for one sem is a lakh. Including mess and hostel fees, total adds upto 1.5 lakhs. There are a lot of scholarship, one major is tution fee waiver which waives off two third of tution fee if your family annual income is below five lakhs.
Campus Life
The social life at IIT Kharagpur is vibrant and diverse, centered around hostel life, clubs, and grand festivals. Hostels foster strong community bonds through inter-hostel competitions. Hostel Facilities
Hostels are good. You get a single room in your second or third year depending on the hostel allotted to you. Hostel facilities are good. Food quality depends on your taste, it will be inclined towards Bengali food as cooks are local.
Admission
Admission is based one one of the toughest entrance exam JEE Advanced. To appear in JEE advanced youa first need to qualify JEE mains which is now conducted twice a year and total number of attempts are two.
Faculty
Most of the faculties are highly qualified and very keen in keep engaged in research related work. They are easily approachable and some are even more friendly than others. Best learning experience if you really want to learn.
