Likes
- The students and the culture of the college. Everyone is helpful and even seniors encourage to do coding or build amazing projects.
- The curriculum is immaculate. As it's not like studying PCM in 1st year rather they gave us core subjects and even had 2 compulsory project buliding.
- The fest is small but that gives everyone a chance to learn how to work and make a fest successful.
Dislikes
- There is just one Hostel which isn't anywhere near enough to accommodate the students. Even the mess food is OKayish.
- There are good professors but some are just worse than school teachers and are very much partial too.
- The campus consists of just 4 buildings and no ground. Even the construction for new buildings aren't starting.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course, especially of my branch is amazing. With a perfect mixture of theory and practical subjects I really enjoy as well as it makes me work hard for it. Well, the exams are pretty tough and hard to score but it really tests your knowledge. Till now the practical knowledge I've gained is sufficient and proper.
Internships Opportunities
For 4th year it's compulsory internship. Even for both 7th and 8th sem one can do internship. But there aren't many internship provided within college, like teachers do mail about opportunities. There are students working as intern for IIsC Bangalore or IITs.
Placement Experience
The placement is all based on the talent of the students. Like last year there was a student with 90 LPA but it was off campus. There were also on campus placed students working currently in Google, AlphaGrep, etc. With recession I can't say anything sure about placements.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees of tution itself is around 10 11 lakhs though looks nice as per the average package, ok ok ROI. But I think it's bit too much. The college doesn't provide scholarship, the only ones are from Central or Syate government.
Campus Life
There are many clubs, both technical and non-technical. Few are dormant and few are super active. GDSC is also there. Almost every month there is either small or large scale fest or celebration. This makes campus life fun. Our college also participates in Inter IIIT Sports Meet.
Hostel Facilities
Hostel is a great privilege. There are 2 seaters or 4 seaters room available. And it is distributed as per FIRST COME FIRST SERVE BASIS. This year hostel room filled within 40 seconds of payment opening, quite a rush. The mess menu is all veg and bit boring.
Admission
You've to crack JEE Mains and get above 96 percentile (OBC) to get my branch. And I think everyone is well aware of JEE exams and it's difficulty. To enter in IIIT JEE mains is the only door. Well, reservation does benefits you.
Faculty
Everyone had done PhD from certain great institutes like NITs and IITs. Even some international college doctrate holders. Few professors are so good that you feel blessed, the way they teach and how they provide practical knowledge. But there are few which doesn't even deserve to teach.
