Course Curriculum Overview
The course I've opted is Bachelors of Commerce (BCOM) because the course is quite easy and goes along other courses like Chartered Account. The course is really old and outdated, relevance of the course is really low. Everything we learn is outdated. It is really a need of the time to update the BCOM course by adding new and updated curriculum.
Internships Opportunities
Many companies specially Chartered Accountancy Firms offer internships to the students along with stipend or many a times without stipends for experience work. The stipend is around ?6000- ?7000. The projects are majorly focused on accounting work and Banking related work for the companies.
Fees and Financial Aid
The college offers wide variety of courses with different Fees structures. The fees structure of BCOM is quite affordable for 1st year and 2nd year it is around ?6000p.a and for 3rd year it hikes to ?9000 p.a due to the computer course included. Other courses offers easy EMI type facilities. Many Scholarships are offered to the reserved quota students as well as the General category students although it is comparatively less opportunity for General category.
Campus Life
The annual festival of Chinai college is called 'Kala Vilas'. The fest mainly focuses on The Kala (Talent) of the students by giving them the opportunities to showcase their talent with wide range of events. Every student is free to participate in the event. The library is full of books which are accessible only with the Library card. the Librarian gives books to read and even carry along with 1 weeks duration. The college organises Sports day which is a two day event where all type of sports are played. Everyone along with boys and girls are free to participate.
Admission
Eligibility was 12th pass students from commerce background. The application was made online from the college official website. Then the review of the online registration was done offline along with documents verification. There was no entrance exam for the students. Reservations for the minorities was given through concessions in fees and scholarships. Exams are conducted in 6 semesters in 3years. Each semester has it's importance, the difficulty is medium for the students. Admission process can be improved by putting the steps of offline verification in the website.
Faculty
The classrooms contains around 80-90 students per batch. Teachers are well qualified as per the teaching requirement. Many professors are friendly and helpful. They tend to listern to our problems and find solutions. Our HOD is a gem of a person he manages everything very well. He maintains the student teacher relationship along with being friendly and helpful.
