- The temperature is usually very high. Some days in summer are unbearable .
- The faculty sometimes resort to teaching in malayalam which is difficult for non- keralite students to understand.
- The college hostel has very less rooms and hence a lot of students have to live in PG's.
Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculum is a bit outdated. To make students industry ready, lab sessions are conducted. The faculty also encourages us to learn things beyond our syllabus. The university can include latest trends in the software industry to make students ready for jobs. Sessional exams are conducted twice in every semester. Each semester is usually 5-6 months long. Semesterc exams are conducted after a short study leave. The exams are not too difficult. A student who attended every class and studied properly can easily score grades like A.
Internships Opportunities
There are a lot of internship oppurtunities for students. The vast Alumni network of the college helps in getting internship oppurtunities in reputed firms. The College also provides leave for students undertaking internships.
Placement Experience
The placements of the college are decent. The average package is around 10,00,000 Rs per year. Companies like CRED, TCS, Infosys, Cognizant, UST Global, Tiger Analytics, Mercedes,etc have visited the college. The highest package range from 25 Lakhs to 35 lakhs per annum. The number of students placed is usually above 85 % every year.
Fees and Financial Aid
The tution fee is really low compared to other colleges in the state. There han't been much hike in fees over the past few years. The complete cost would be around 10000Rs/year. students facing financial difficulties are allowed to avail various scholarships.
Campus Life
The campus life is very vibrant. There are a lot of fests conducted like Dhrishti in April, Disha in December- January,etc. Students are encouraged to participate in sports activities. Football ground, volleyball and basketball court are provided to students. Equipments for other sports like badminton, table tennis are also provided. A lot of student run clubs are there like aeroCET for srudents interested in aking drone, TinkerHUB for students interested in software industries,etc.
Admission
The admission of a student is based on the rank published by CEE Kerala. The rank is decided by a student's score in KEAM exam and his/her 12th Exam percentage. Other details are available in KEAM Official website. The exam is easier thean JEE Mains exam. The cutoff is usually high as this is the best college under the Kerala Government. The rank list was published very late and admission process took a lot of days to complete.
Faculty
The faculty is very experienced and have been working in their field for a lot of years. The faculty to student ratio is very high. Hence a lot of our doubts go unsolved. Most of them are friendly and easily approachable. They try their best to make students understand the concepts. We can interact with teachers after classes or ask doubts on whatsapp. They also hold lab sessions to make us understand our concept easily.
