Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is relevant to the current industry norms. It consists of internal exams, assignments, lab exams, quizzes and external exams. Mid semester exams are of 20 marks and the timing of this exams is of 1.5 hrs . At the end of each semester lab sessionals are conducted.Then we have the End Semester exams which are of 50 marks and the timing of these exams is of 2.5 hrs.
Internships Opportunities
The placement cell is responsible for campus recruitment. Internships are offered in the 3rd year of the course. Students become eligible to sit for placements after 6th semester. Internships are offered to provide students some industry exposure. Students can even grab a PPO after the Internships from companies.
Placement Experience
Students become eligible for campus placements after 6th Semester. Companies like Microsoft, IBM, Deloitte, Adobe, Infosys, TCS ,etc visit and provide good placement opportunities.The average package is 6.2 lpa and the highest package is 62 lpa.The college claims to give a 100% placement guarantee. And after I get this degree I would like to be placed in a good company with a great package.
Fees and Financial Aid
My admission batch was 2022 in which fees was reduced due to covid. The course fees is around 350000 per year. Free bus facility is available for all students. Currently the course fees has increased around 10-15%. Scholarships are awarded to top achievers in KIITEE exam only.
Campus Life
The campus life at KIIT is full of adventures, fun, and opportunities. Every campus hosts different hackathons and events during the annual fest. Celebrity star nights, cultural performances, and fun games are all a part of the fest. The college has many cricket grounds, basketball courts, tennis court, badminton court and lots of other sporting activities.
Admission
To get admission in the college a student has to either appear in KIITEE or JEE mains. KIITEE is organized by the college in four to five phases every year. The exam is free of cost. People scoring above 80 percentile are generally offered CSE branch. KIITEE is relatively easier than JEE mains.
Faculty
All faculty members are appointed after rigorous interviews and training. Most of them are experienced industry experts. They are very friendly and cooperative. Students also have access to teachers in case of any study related queries. Every class is assigned a class mentor. Each subject has a separate teacher who you are allowed to choose.
