Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

I wanted a technical course, that's why I opted for Information Technology. This is a very good course as it will help me in various technology-related fields, and in this growing world, technology is one of the most advancing things. Some of the curriculum, per me, isn't actually needed and it's plain theory. I'd say to include more practical-based subjects as they're more helpful and give a better understanding of the overall technology of a particular object. For exams, the frequency is normal. Sometimes they're too quick and sometimes there's a large gap.

Internships Opportunities

0.5

I'll do an internship in the third year, in the 6th semester. Currently I'm learning Data structures and algorithms, and a few other things. Basically I'm preparing myself and making myself better and more suitable for the upcoming Internships that will be available to me.

Placement Experience

3.5

Students get eligible for placements after the 6th semester of the course, which is after completing third year. The placement of our college is quite good. The average for Information Technology is about 6 LPA. The highest offer last year was around 44 LPA, and it was the highest in the entire college. I plan to either work, or aim for higher studies, still not sure.

Fees and Financial Aid

The base college fees for one year in B.E (Information Technology) is approximately 1,20,000. I am from the EBC category, so I pay around 70,000 , my tuition fees gets halved. I apply yearly for the EBC scholarship.

Campus Life

2

Personally, I have way too little campus life. It's because I live pretty far, and a lot of my time is consumed in traveling. I use the local train, and it's timings are not the best, so I need to leave quick to get home. The library is very good. There are tons of books available for every topic. There are also many groups and clubs.

Admission

The admission process was quite smooth. The cut-off for IT in 2022 was around 94.5 in MHT-CET. They put out banners and posters in front of the college gate yearly, to guide the parents and students for where is the entire admission process is taking place.

Faculty

3.5

The faculty, as per me, is quite good. In my first year, the first year department faculty was actually quite good and helpful, and they do take efforts in making us understand and learn the different concepts and such of the subjects. The faculty ratio is satisfactory, I guess, as it never felt like there were less professors available. Some of the faculty is really friendly and fun to talk to, and they give out many life and carrer advices.
